This was confirmed to be fake. The PS5 doesn't actually exist. Everything Sony has shown was actually running on a nVidia 3099 TI.

The only other possibility is that they are waiting for Microsoft to announce the delay which is why they haven't said anything yet. If a bunch of developers announced delays that would send up some really negative vibes and indirectly confirm a delay prematurely. If anything Microsoft will be the one to announce it.
But I don't think thats going to happen.
Edit: We technically don't have a release date officially confirmned do the rumors of an early November release could change. They night stagger the release of the system or go with December if supply is an issue. You never know what's going to happen with this pandemic that we have.

Funny fact is the concern was actually from xbox fans asking where the XSX gameplay vids are and then the other persecution complex xbox fans deflected to 'but is the PS5 even real, we haven't seen it'
It's a disease called SonyToo(tm) whenever some xbox bad publicity comes out someone tries to find a sony equivalent.

Kinda makes the theory that they overclocked their GPU when they saw MS had the much better GPU more plausible.
MS had the option to do the variable speed too. They chose not to. If it was such a great thing with no risks they would have done it too.

You know they are still saying they are launching during the holidays. And if you read that article correctly they are still getting good chips they they can use in the hardware.
