I think they will port the notable PS4 games and not include very niche stuff like Gravity Rush.

Once the PS4 lineup is done they will get started on PS5. Once Sony catcuo with the bank log of ports and we start seeing ports in 2 years then I can sell my PS5 finally.

Why would I wait 4 years to play a God of War game?

Sales for the game are officially about to hit 20M. It was announced today.
That's more than all other God of War games together. Everyone on Sony's ecosystem that wanted this have played it by now.
I'm sure most people that play on Sony's consoles would rather spend only 400/500 $/€ on a console and play a game on day one than waiting almost half a decade for a port and play it with all the extras on a 1500/2000$ machine.
Sony isn't doing this to lose their market share.
They just want to expand on it outside of their hardware machine.

It’s a fair strategy and I’m all for it. Happy to wait a few years for the sequel if I enjoy the first. My backlog will keep me busy

Perhaps my favourite game of the past generation and easily one of the best. The culture and following it has spawned is on another level. For me the game was life changing in some ways and maybe others can relate. I know sounds so corny, but I’m glad it can be enjoyed and appreciated by a whole new audience now.

Well PC gamers, the past year and a half there will be 4 PS games on PC (this includes UC4/LL when it comes out in early 2022).

Given that, the theory is either you buy the game as sloppy seconds (squeeze every drop of blood out of the game), or it will make you convert to a PS5 gamer.

Your choice.

I disagree. If you own a PC and not a PS4 £50 is pretty fair. If you want to wait for a sale, games like Horizon are regularly £12-£15 on Steam.

after seeing it looks like a quality port (performance to be seen ofc) with DLSS, ultrawide, dualsense, better graphics, etc, then $50 seems fair albeit a bit steep for me (as someone who's already played). PC only players are in for a treat though. I guess at least it's not $60+ lol

Don’t take this the wrong way but why does it have to be a long time to release on PC? It wouldn’t take away from your enjoyment if it launched the same day on both PS and PC (not that I’m saying that will or should happen).

Actually, having just bought a new CPU, Motherboard, RAM and SSD, they are all pretty cheap. Competition in the CPU space has forced Intel to reduce prices. you can get an 8 core 16 thread CPU that hits 4.8 Ghz for just $250.

SSD prices are dropping now that Gen 4 SSDs are finally being mass produced. lots of competition. I picked up a 7GBps 980 Pro for just $190. Gen 3 with 3.5 GBps is only $99. Several brands a around $100 for Gen 4 SSDs.

GPUs are the only thing that is overpriced at the moment, and sadly thats the most important thing.

True I guess, but yeah the GPU prices are just crazy.

Then again so are console in my country right now ($1200 for the disc drive Ps5....at retailers, not resellers). So I'm just stuck with a ps4 Pro until either Sony or GPU makers start going back to reasonable prices.

Amazing how Dreams still hasnt been ported. If there's one game that would be a great fit and can have legs on PC it's that game.
