This perfectly explains why I like Xbox, lots of variety of games for different things you might be going through/ wanting to experience at that time (chill on grounded, sea of thieves, kill shit in halo etc, drive around in Forza) if you know what I mean.

I love the graphics and the budgets of Sony’s first party, there amazing. But I don’t actually enjoy playing the majority of them.

(I do have a PS4 so I can still play gravity rush, shadow of the colossus, god of war 3 remake etc)

These days I’ll just wait until they come out on pc.

I’m all for Xbox going to PlayStation if it means the money is reinvested into more 1st party games and experiences.


Potential sequels for killer instinct, Hifi rush etc if they sell well over all systems released on.

pretty much why I also held off on buying a PS5. The games eventually come to PC so I could have the best of both worlds without buying additional hardware. I love returnal, god of war and horizon....regretted buying spiderman, and will probably never actually finish any of the uncharted collection (just feels to similar to other TPS I played over the years) . will never touch the last of us....tedious looking gameplay loop and it looks like a hot mess of SJW messaging. played death standing on gamepass via PC and realised after 40 mins of dicking around that ill never boot that game up again. I would not have been happy with PS exclusives if it was the console I went for. Would love GT7 on PC. the handful of PS console exclusives I do like I can just play on one of my PC's.

Hey man! I also had a dreamcast under my tv when Sega went third party. What a day eh?

It didn't hit me as hard because I also had a nintendo box... you see although I was a sega fan, i knew nintendo put out incredible stuff.

The point being, focus on what matters: the games! Plastic boxes come and go, but it's the game experiences that stay with us.

You realize publishers set prices, not Sony? Sony only sets prices for their first party games, Xbox leaving the hardware market won't impact 3rd party publishers prices.

Can't be always how it works since it has not happened before where there was no 3rd hardware manufacturer in the race. When Dreamcast left, Xbox entered. No history to show anything like this happening.

I said it yesterday and Ill say it again...people better get used two nintendo and sony only future. and they wont be competing with eachother so.....sony can set their next gen terms unchallenged (price, specs). Totally bracing for that 6-700 PS6! I got no choice anyway. none of us will. unless you want an unpowered switch 2 that will only play a fraction of what 3rd parties put on PS.


PS will be the high performance, default console you buy. and its not like there is an alternative, so we just gotta go with the flow. and nintendo fans will buy whatever nintendo puts out. the end.

There will be more alternatives than ever even without Xbox actually. Instead of just consoles and PC like 15-20 years ago, now there is Android/mobile gaming, Steam deck, Cloud gaming. There's more competition than ever.
