If you think him saying this means those games will never be ported, oh boy:
You mentioned that Starfield and Indiana Jones aren’t part of the four despite rumors, but will those ever come to PS5? Can you rule that out?
I don’t think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform. We’re focused on these four games and learning from the experience.
But I don’t want to create a false expectation on those other platforms that this is somehow the first four to get over the dam and then the dam’s going to open and that everything else is coming, that’s not the plan today. I also don’t want to mislead customers on those other platforms. We’re launching these four games, and we’re excited about it. We’re excited about the announce and everything else, but we’ll see what happens for our business.

For me, I dont see Xbox "dying" as such. But how it looks in a few years time and how focused it is on my gaming needs/expectations as a primary sole platform is my concern. As the ole saying goes, time will tell.

Now this I totally agree with and they have to show me why I still need an Xbox as my main platform because I know a lot of people that still will buy the next console no matter how many games go to PSFor me, I dont see Xbox "dying" as such. You are saying that folks were claiming that Microsoft was going to come out and officially proclaim that Xbox hardware was coming to an end yesterday? No.....I didn't see those. I have enough respect for you that if you say that was stated by some to believe you. Not sure why my posts are suddenly uncharacteristic to you. I call it like I see it.

And now all the posters who were claiming yesterday would be the death of Xbox are trying to somehow twist it into I told you so
Plenty of people wrongly said Xbox is abandoning hardware. I remember because I was discussing how that didn't jive with the handheld rumor discussions. I somehow missed all these people saying Microsoft was going to officially end Xbox hardware as part of the announcement yesterday.
Ya'll adamant that was a thing then.....ok, I guess.

For me, I dont see Xbox "dying" as such. But how it looks in a few years time and how focused it is on my gaming needs/expectations as a primary sole platform is my concern. As the ole saying goes, time will tell.
Regardless of what a few posters may or may not have said about the event yesterday as far hardware is concerned, what you've said has been the primary issue people have had with the idea of Xbox games going down the multiplat road. And that wasn't coming just from Xbox detractors. The diehards on twitter were thumping that concern louder than anyone.
