Have a fun! Enjoy!

Well, there are a couple ways to "deflect." One way is to have whatever you are grabbing have a projectile sensor activate an emitter, which shoots out a plasma projectile from your grabbed object. Another way is to have plasma-fy a round object, place a material tweaker on it and set the bouncy properties to 100% or whatever, and emit that as your hazard which will bounce off your grabbed shield.

The latter option sounds more robust, especially with regards to physics. With the former the bounce direction would only be the one set on the emitter.

Yeah, it all depends on how much accuracy you're looking for.

Congrats bud! I'm really happy for you, you've done awesome stuff with your site, and it's fantastic to see Developers (and Sony) take note. It's a shame they don't send you to press events with these games to show off the features, considering you definitely do a better job than most.

Just played most of jump_button's levels just now...so awesome. Can't wait for whatever is next.

The potential for creativity with this Move pack is immense.

Man I can't get over how good this game is. I hope LBPV is up to this quality, I will get a vita day one if so. Apparently you can transfer costumes to the Vita version too, hopefully you can also transfer stuff back to the PS3.

Also, is there any way to sign up to try and get into various LBP betas?

playing through story mode and i'm raging slightly at all the story there, but at least there's a skip button. also, i know it's less of a platformer game, and more of a platform for games, but i can't help but be disappointed at how quickly the platforming ideas were abandoned and that the game seemingly quits being a platformer around the fourth media molecule world.

on the other hand, i'm really looking forward to making my own stuff, something i never did in the first game (because i wanted to actually do something that didn't suck and didn't have the time with school+work). so hopefully i can get something going if october's a slow month.

It's not objectively terrible, but it is objectively hard to see where the hell you are from 8 feet away.

Actually people with super good eyesight would call that subjective too. It did piss me off for about 5 solid minutes though.

Sackproblem with LBP Move pack: latest update makes my console freeze when quitting from the game. Has Media Molecule solved this problem? Any fix?

This is on sale at Gamefly used for $17.99 http://www.gamefly.com/game/ps3/Little-Big-Planet-2/144910/

I picked it up. I never played the first one and its a bit tough to understand what the game is all about by just watching/reading. What should I expect going into this?

A decently fun story mode, a wealth of tools to create your own levels or even entire game series, a great and extremely diverse soundtrack, paired with nice but quirky voice acting.

EDIT: Finally...1 level down, 7 more to create.

Jeez, about time they had a bundle that packaged a navigation controller in there. I wanted a bundle like that forever. I eventually broke down and bought the individual components on sale though.

Awesome bundle, but everyone I know has either a Move or LittleBigPlanet 2 already.

Sky Town: Darkened skies

http://lbp.me/v/7-d7q3

My Sky Town has a specials place for me, and I’m happy to say I’ve been working on making the best one yet. So it time to grab hold of a balloon and come with me into the new Sky Town: Darkened skies.

This is part one with five levels unique, Best played in order but I know I can’t keep everyone happy all the time so they are open and all under one Hub. One of my goals was to make something that feel like a game.

Act 1
This is my take on a LBP RPG town, Take the first steps on your journey into the skies explore the town on the day of the Sky town balloon fair.

Act 2
Taking too the skies on a balloon in the ruins in the outskirt of Sky town.

Act 3
You finally catch up only to be fired at, meanwhile what other events are unfolding?

Act 4
Without a balloon lucky for you have a umbrella just in time for the rain, as you make your way out of Sky town’s graveyard.

Act 5
Your journey take you high up into the cold skies where many sackthing’s have lose they life.

Sky Town: Darkened skies part 2 coming when it’s done lol

Hmm...having a strange problem. I recieved a set of music sequencers from Ryanardo, and was able to separate them into individual items this morning... However, for some reason, now anytime I take one of the sequencers off the holographic strip he sent them on, anything I attach it to, becomes attached to the holostrip. So now whenever I delete the strip, it takes the other sequencer that isnt attached with it.

Is this some sort of glitch?'

EDIT: Nevermind, fixed it.

Sky Town is qued up and ready to go.

Turned on LBP 2 for the first time in a bit, grabbed 3 patches and it just freezes. It freezes at the the part telling not to turn off the ps3 when it shows the spinning world. Deleted all the patches and downloaded all of them and same thing. :c

This screen, I deleted all the patches and it downloads 8 patches but it still won't go past this screen.

It's at the initial load so I never actually choose anything. Just tried with the system offline and same thing.

Looked like it, I just deleted my LBP2 and LBP1 saves and started the game until I got the pod and quit. Then loaded my LBP2 save and imported once at the pod, Created a new one and quit. Then loaded my LBP1 save and it picked it up on boot up and asked me to import all the stuff from LBP1.

EDIT:
Ok, So I have not played LBP 2 since February, Any must have DLC packs?

I just upgraded my PS3 to the 160GB and restored a fullbackup. It said that some data could not be copied. I loaded LBP2 up and my save is gone. The LBP1 save is fine. Is this normal?

LBP2 saved in sava data utility, compared to the backup normal save file that LBP1 started out with (until it, too, moved to save data utility).

Probably why you can't recover your LBP2 file: Because it was in save data utility. Import another, it's not like you can't make the game think it's your own.

Might be your profile that is corrupted. Did you try erasing it as well as the patches and whatnot?

Ok I'd appreciate any help on this. After upgrading to a new PS3 using a backup from my old PS3, my LBP2 save was lost. I found a file on the net that has 100% but when it's imported everything goes all red and I get a message saying that I'm using another profile and bla, bla, bla. Is there a way to avoid this?

I couldn’t care less about the trophies, I just want all the materials and objects I acquired.

are you not using the same PSN? it shouldn't do that

Damnit! I wish they would have connected the unlockables to trophies. If it wasn't for the fact that my kid wants to create levels, I'd toss the disk in the trash.

Do you still have the old one? Just move the save via a flash drive. Also sell it dont trash it <_>

No I already got rid of it. I thought I was good with the 4 hour full backup I did, guess not.

While I put most of the blame to MM for requiring a separate backup within the software, I have to throw a little hate Sony's way for not standardizing save data.

Standard saving wouldn't/ didn't work well with LBP its more like a MMO, Save work much better this way and to be fair they do tell you all this

Hands on LittleBigPlanet (PS Vita)
RocketCheetah has a recent hands on report from a recent PlayStation Event. Read on for the breakdown of every playable level, including:
Puppet Circus [watch the video] was perhaps the most ‘traditional’ level I played (if that word even has any meaning in LBP anymore!). A cute, fairground-themed platformer which serves to introduce you to all of the the Vita’s controls. Tilt we’ve experienced in LBP before but what impressed me was how natural the touch interactions felt. Everything seemed instantly familiar and always like it was enhancing my experience rather than getting in the way.
