I think he's got the arm for it. He's not a Ryan Mallett, but he's probably Alabama's best QB in a decade or 2.

Hope Alabama keeps the 2 TE setup, with all the motion. Really confused opposing defenses.

UW has a lot of 2 TE sets and uses motion more than just about any other major school not named Boise State. Sounds like a good match if that's already something that Bama does.

After many years of questionable tournament snubs in basketball, I'd feel there be more room for corruption than there is now. But then again, if there's only 4-8 teams, I don't see how they could screw that up.

It's a wonder that kids still want to play for him. He's one of the best coaches in CFB, but that's a shitty way to treat a kid. Much less a top recruit. That kid is going to be lit up with schools trying to sign him now that that article is out there.

I'm sorry, but as I understand it, it's not signing day yet, and this kid, any kid, could up and change his commitment. He hasn't enrolled early, he hasn't signed an LOI, and is no way "stuck" going to a college yet.

I'm sure Alabama would want the kid, but hey, enforced scholarship limits and all.

Definitely the former. How can you explain OSU and Oregon losing late in the season, letting Alabama slip into the National Championship Game.

He hadn't done anything beyond a verbal commitment, he could just go somewhere else if he wanted to.

He should have just gone somewhere else, he's probably never going to see the field at Alabama due to how long he'll have gone without playing or practicing.

To be fair, they can help as well. I can't imagine what kind of fire sale we would have had last year if Major Applewhite didn't work his ass off to keep the class in tact. For losing coordinators on both side of the ball, it still astounds me we only lost 2 kids.

Don't take these guys as guaranteed losses. We Cal fans do have a tendency to overreact.
