Ive been getting each one. Of the long running, Bleach is the only one Ive actually seen every episode. I skipped around in Shippuden so much (Pain arc, and last filler arc and now current arc), so I missed a good 200 or so episodes.

Vol 10 looks nice.

lol, I'm the Opposite!, skipped the majority of Bleach (watching the parts I missed on DVD), but have seen every Naruto episode

I own the first 10 volumes (all of the canon) of Naruto 1. It worked out perfectly that all the main filler followed after the canon so I could simply ignore them. I've refused to buy Shippuden because of all the filler sprinkled throughout the series. I wonder how many fans they've lost sales to that are like me because of where they've placed the fillers. I understand why it was done this way for Shippuden, just is unfortunate but they could always come out with new boxed sets after the series' end somewhat similar to Dragonball Kai.

Is there a list of Naruto episodes since the Pain battle that excludes any fillers? I would like to catch up, but don't feel like going through all the crap.

That was a pretty fantastic episode. I think the animation for Naruto is possibly in the same league as it is for Cyber Connect 2 for Naruto's mode

Though I guess the DVD release will tone down the brightness?

Minato is probably my favorite VA in the anime. Probably at the the top of my top 10 list of favorite Naruto character (over Sage Naruto). He was so good in it and coo. Next episode will be amazing, I bet.

248: Hiroyuki Yamashita
249: Masayuki Kouda

Two top-tier animators. Probably just below Suzuki/Wakabayashi. Yamashita has done so many good fights and Kouda recently did the best part of Sasuke vs. Danzo.

I was thinking that the Rock Lee stuff might be airing in Shippuden's slot , almost like filler.


Anyway, hopefully they just strech the canon, it can be done.

Maybe there are being cautious about good points to stop for filler. Or if a good point already exisits making sure there are at least two. Maybe also they might being trying to be strategic with animators, that is give the B-team random filler from the episode pile (so say rather than working on every 4th episode they'll do a string of fillers instead) so we don't have issues like the Pain saga *cookingtoads.gif*

Also we don't want scenes like the end of part 1 (or Namek blowing up in DBZ) where they can't advance the plot as the lead-time is too short.

Well the start of the next arc has very little plot advancement and is a bit rushed, so maybe stretching some will help.

Hmm, it's only about 70 chapters ahead. That's kind of getting a bit close given how some episodes can cover 2 or more chapters per show. But as was said, there are a lot of instances in the next arc that can be stretched out or expanded upon that many felt Kishi just rushed through or wrongly off-paneled.

252 is looking to be very good with not only Yamashita as AD once again, but Hayato Date, the series director himself will storyboard/direct the episode personally.

Too bad about 250 though, I can't stand Eum Ik-hyun's animation style.

Special episode is tomorrow though, should be sweet.

Just finished watching 248, amazing episode. The kyuubi rampage was great and tobi vs minato was excellent too.

He did the final episode of Naruto vs. Pain. Though in fairness, coming right after both a Suzuki and Wakabayashi episodes anything would look pretty crappy in comparison. However now he has to follow Yamashita and Kouda, who are no slouches either, so it probably still will be crappy anyway :p

Wow, amazing episodes...so sad. :( Especially the very end.

Also does a great job of showing just how fucking powerful Minato really was. The guy sets up a teleportation jutsu and a one-handed medium sized rasengan all in a matter of seconds, good god.

Minato was pretty cool, his justu is so awesome animated and the masked man too. I totally forgot that he is the fastest rasengan user.
