I went ahead and played some Dracula X Chronicles and unlocked the original Rondo.

Looks absolutely awesome on Vita. Unlike PSP, where the game was a bit too dark for its LCD, the colors really popped here and scrolling was almost completely free of motion artifacts. Smoothest scrolling this side of a CRT (though still not quite THAT good).

Colors are just fantastic. We really need emulators or more retro games on here.

Aww. It's being sold at bluemouth.com but the product page just says "coming soon." This case looks better than the FEB one, honestly.

...and it doesn't smell like someone dropped a deuce inside of it!

Man, what timing to have Overtime this week!

I'll be handling some focus testing at work on Tuesday and Wednesday. My Vita should arrive on Wednesday, but since I'm staying at work for 2 hours, I won't be getting home until 8pm (hour long bus ride)!

It's going to be a painful Wednesday, I can tell you that!

I'm still hoping my Rayman and Wipeout will arrive by the 22nd, but Amazon has it listed for anywhere between the 29th of Feb, to the 3rd of March! I'm really, really hoping it's just them being weird. I've had things arrive well before the estimated delivery date. I'd be happy if they arrived this weekend at the least. I can just play Uncharted, Mutant Blobs Attack and the PSP titles I bought until then.

Also, I'm debating on adding another PSP title to my collection. The problem is, I'm not sure which one to get out of these three:

The 3rd Birthday
Gods Eater Burst
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

Suggestions?

Really cool stuff LiquidMetal14. Thanks for sharing.

I know this is par for the course with GPS but I liked how the arrow moved where I went. I've used GPS devices before and know how they work but this is a first for a dedicated handheld.

I went to Target and Walmart today. Target sale was on but they only had Dungeon Hunter Alliance and Lumines. 1 Walmart had HSG, FIFA, Little Deviants, Dynasty Warriors, Uncharted, Wipeout, and another one that escapes me. Target said they would get most of their games on Wednesday so I may go back. I ended up picking up a 20 in PSN funds to tide me over.

I don't see a need to get GEB if you're getting MHFU. MHFU is a great game, but I enjoyed the 3rd Birthday too. You could probably get the most time out of MHFU though.

Looks like I missed all the fun over at Amazon. I ended up picking up a 32gb card from Lockerz for $75. Hope that site is legit. The wait is gonna be tough the next couple day. Now to return my preorder and 16gb card to Gamestop and grab a $50 PSN card.

So annoying. Activated the 3G and now it won't auto connect to wifi coming out of sleep mode. I have to connect to wifi manually. Is that right?

Posted this in the deals thread, but haven't gotten an answer.

So I'm assuming the GameStop B2G1 deal works for Digital Games and they just email you a voucher?

This would be the only retailer that offers B2G1 on the digital versions, correct?

GEB and MHFU are the same genre of game, but it feels different enough that I would say getting both is worth it. They're both great games.
In some ways, I like GEB more than MHFU actually...

Tested out the 3G GPS GOOGLE MAPS feature. It works incredibly well. Bare in mind that I never really use these as this is the first "internet anywhere device I've ever owned. Amazing......

This shows u bunch of searches and stuff I've done

This is what I took while driving. The blue thing is me. I like how when I turn my Vita, the arrow reacts.

And some RAYMAN ORIGINS SCREENSHOTS from the OS capture thread.

So is there turn by turn or do you have to push next?

I used to work in a store and sold screen-protectors and all kinds of other iPod/handheld accessories.
It blows my mind how people always manage to screw up the application of screen-protectors, it's not that hard to get right. I am talking about the self-adhesive ones.

Just make sure your surface is clear and free of dust, the screen is clean and wiped down with a microfiber cloth, and you have clean hands and fingers. Take your time to apply it right, it's worth it.

Never, ever touch the adhesive area after removing the first plastic layer, and align the plastic above the device with your four fingers, holding it by the edges. Lower the plastic so that it's almost touching the surface, while keeping perfect alignment, and simply drop it down on the device. Use a flat piece of plastic to wipe away any remaining bubbles, and voila.

It's hard to explain, but it's extremely easy once you get the hang of it. When applied correctly, it's nigh invisible, and i'd recommend it for everything with a display prone to scratching.

So annoying. Activated the 3G and now it won't auto connect to wifi coming out of sleep mode. I have to connect to wifi manually. Is that right?

Mine connects to my Wifi at home every time and auto 3G's when I'm out of range. Or it picks up any neighboring connections for me to try and connect to but I usually click X when on the road as I use the 3G.

So is there turn by turn or do you have to push next?

I haven't messed with it enough to be honest but we just followed it by scrolling on the screen. Was no hassle but I do want to mess with it more before giving a better answer.

Gamestop is doing B2G1 then?

The screen is just gorgeous ( except for the dark spot in total darkness) Cant wait to replace my KURO with a OLED HDTV.

That's the same one I saw when I tried to look for a link online, but decided not to link to it just in case it's a different case. I did see them at Target though.

Looked at the back of the box and yep, that's the one. Sucks that they don't have it online. :(

All Target stores must be carrying it though because the guy that mentioned it in that CAG link you posted also bought his there.

Saw that one its made from Intec. It looks real good but the deal breaker is the strap that helps life the PS Vita out of case. It might scratch the back where the touchpad is. Wouldn't use unless you have a full protector on.

Does it have voice guidance?

I tried looking but was too worried about where I need to be. I hope that if it's not there, it gets patched in. It still works incredibly well from my use. I do want to see how much data (if that even counts towards it) I used.

From JohngPR's pics it doesn't look like the strap would do that. Unless there's some other picture.

Edit: NM, thought you meant the metal thing outside. How would the velcro strap inside damage the PSP?

The one I bought is made by RDS, not Intec and is an officially licensed case.

The part of the strap that would touch the rear touch is made out of a super soft felt-like material, I don't see it being a problem personally.

EDIT: If you are talking about the end tab part...that stays sticking out in the front so you can pull on it and get your Vita out of the case.

Mutant Blobs Attack and Hustle Kings definitely are, but I don't think the release date for Motorstorm has been announced in the US.

Seriously, how cool is it that I am getting Hustle Kings for free just because I own the game on PS3? I had no idea that would happen.

I've been looking for a soft pouch to for my Vita that doesn't have any zippers. I've found some on eBay but they all come from Hong Kong and I don't want to wait a month to get it.

That is good but the touchpad is super glossy and read where others said it could scratch easy, but never hurts to be on the safe side and put a protector on it.

So now that people have their hands on it, what is possible in terms of using US/JPN PSN accounts? How big of a pain is it to switch back and forth?

True. My pre-order comes with free screen protectors and I was thinking of cutting it to size and putting it on the rear touch anyway. Hopefully it works out!

I got my SSD from buy.com a while back when they had M4s on sale. Ordered a few other things there in the past too I think. They're reputable, but I hardly ever use them since Amazon has just about everything covered already.

I ordered a 32GB card for $40, but I'm expecting them to send out some apology emails on behalf of Circuit City/Tiger Direct and cancel the orders. Same with Amazon.

Did anyone who ordered any games from Lockerz have their orders processed or get their tracking numbers? I ordered uncharted and umvc3 as well as a 3G bundle from them (in 2 separate orders). They list the release date of both games as the 15th but I haven't received anything in my inbox and the transaction is still listed as pending on my card. I ordered on the 12th so it has me a little worried, and I'm considering canceling both orders and just picking up a wifi vita and games from Target. If my vita takes this long to ship ill be pissed. I wasn't expecting release date delivery or anything (especially since the only shipping method is USPS first class), but if I'm gonna have to wait an extra week just for it to ship + shipping time, the money I'm saving isnt even worth it.

I don't know if anyone has done this yet. But do we have a list of PSP games Vita owners new to the PSP/Vita should be getting :3?

I have Tactics Ogre & Persona 3 Portable. What else should I get?

Which Monster Hunter should I try?

Thanks for the advice! I was leaning towards Monster Hunter out of the three, so if I decide to add another PSP title to my system this week, I'll go with that one!

Will FPS's use the back touchscreen as left and right trigger, so it feels more like you are holding a controller. I haven't felt the Vita or played a FPS on one obviously but it seems like it would feel awkward holding it so you can use both analog sticks and left and right shoulder buttons.

Anyone else notice an issue with Uncharted seeming to think you're pressing down on the analog stick? Sometimes, when I leave the stick neutral, Drake will walk toward the screen/move down a rope/etc. It sometimes goes away after a while. I thought it might be an issue with my analog sticks, but Uncharted seems to be the only game that thinks I'm pushing down. Hoping it's just a software issue.

I found a couple videos from a guy that is seeing exactly what I am:
