For all the people in the Nintendo 3DS demo limit thread that claimed no one plays demos 30 times, welcome to the SSX demo. Gonna play this a lot.
I probably played the demo for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater featuring the warehouse 100+ times. I doubt I can top that with this SSX demo since the game comes out the following week.
- 'Tricky' wub soundeffects can be disabled
◉_◉ Day 1.
They should really patch in shoving/punching for the definitive SSX experince
Soultron, it was great being on the ssxubercast with you!
Thanks for having me, Tristan!
Dedication Through Light = Tristan?
Mind blown.
Also we got a shout out on the Live stream! (GAF community)
So what time do PSN and XBL update tomorrow? Waking up early so I can try this before work at noon.

Sleep Mode has been invented. Not saying it's not somewhat retarted, but usually these demos aren't released too much in advance of the game's release date, so if you liked a demo so much that you end up using up all your boot-ups within a week or two, just buy the game. For all the people in the Nintendo 3DS demo limit thread that claimed no one plays demos 30 times, welcome to the SSX demo. I've decided that this will be the first game I double-dip on. I don't even own a PS3, but I'll be using my roommate's PS3s for this.
There are just too many people on GAF and MerquryCity I can't not play with.
I've actually considered doing the same thing. I don't think I can do it though. $120 on one game is too much.

Having an iPhone has really ruined that stock alarm sound effect.

New Uber Monday video is up for Ty! Ty's Uber is off the fucking chain. I think I'll consider making him my second after Mac!
Awww, how flattering
I agree there's no reason to limit it, but with 3DS you have ways to get around that with the Sleep Mode. With the limits in mind, I'd just try to NOT close the demo if I don't absolutely have to (like wanting to check out something in the eShop or Swap Notes), I'd just put it in sleep mode once I'm through a demo session. And oftentimes if I really like a game, I either don't play it too much so that I can save all my enthusiasm for the full game or if I play a demo a lot, that usually means I really like the game so I'll just get the full game ASAP (so I probably wouldn't even get over the limit, unless the demo was release, like, 6 months prior to the release). It's not that big of an issue, at least not to me.Sorry, but this argument is as stupid in this thread as it was in the other. There's absolutely no good gamer-centric reason to limit demos. It benefits us in no way. The SSX team knows this, which is why they built the demo in such a way as to ENCOURAGE gamers to play it over and over and over.
The game have clan support of any kind? Sure would be easier than adding all these people one by one. Or PSN could finally add groups
But anyways, enough of this OT, at least for my part.
So wait, how is the XBL list going to work? Are we adding people onto our Live friend list, or is there a rival list in the game?
They could do new peaks. New courses. Bring in artificial, competitive courses like the type you get at the Olympics (like Snowdream in the first SSX, which is still one of my favourite SSX courses). I mean, there are a lot of places on Earth you can snowboard.I was reading that this game covers pretty much all the mountain ranges on Earth so i'm wondering if this game gets a sequel how are they gonna do it? Will it just be the same mountains again but with new movies? that would be lame. Or will they go back to fantasy courses like the first few SSX games (I wish)?

One of the things we suggested when we were at EAC was a destroyed-by-avalanches version of each run. I think it'd be easy to update or make new runs by even placing more rails and such. Another thing we suggested was a "Back to Tokyo Megaplex" DLC package almost like BF3's Back to Karkand DLC package. The "Year of SSX" DLC will be interesting if it happens!
One thing the dev team has to think about, is that if they raise the level caps like they've mentioned via DLC/patch, they'd have to account for the increased player stats allowing them to potentially reach previously-unreachable areas in certain runs. So maybe they'd create additional areas in runs to account for that.
I just want more courses like the first SSX game
