Would Epic's next big game (in this case, I used Samaritan as an example) would include more role playing elements, just as Borderlands, Fallout 3/NV and Mass Effect have.
Cliff got right to the point, and said that Samaritan was nothing beyond a tech demo and that it would NEVER, EVER, be an actual game. I'm glad he finally cleared that up.
There were so many things I wanted to ask, but of course, I only had time for one question.
I hope their next game does include more RPG elements. Nothing tickles my fancy more than customizing my characters appearance.
Like a Gears of War with different hats, hair, glasses, body pieces, colors for pieces, etc would be amaaaaaazing to me.

A cyber punk, film noir, shooter/ action RPG (cough...Samaritan...cough) would be amazing. But no, Epic isn't cool like that apparently.
We have Fortnite (which sounds cool), probably a free2play UT (please be good, if true) and a bunch of mobile games :/
I really hope there is more Gears 3 DLC. I want them to continue supporting the game until the end of the year.

i think we'll get one more free booster map pack. an even 30 maps sounds good, one more than gears2
Give us four of the following five: Canals, Fuel Depot, War Machine, Mansion, or Mausoleum. Fuck Gears 2's maps. Call it the "Four Seasons Pack" or something. Each map is one of the four different seasons. Do that, go off with a bang and call it a day.

Epic really should listen to me. Like, dead serious. I sure as hell don't know everything or have all the right answers, but I am confident in what I say here. If there is one game I know about and one community I know very well through and through, it's Gears. And yeah, Epic exist beyond Gears, but so do I.
And believe me, I have and currently working getting Epic to listen to me about future employment. I just gotta get some work straightened out and talk to the right people and ind the right time. I can't rush it or get too ahead of myself.

I really think Epic needs to drop the "theme" idea when putting together map packs. they put Escalation in the FR pack because it was the Fenix residence, bad idea in my book.
they should have a straight up vote for the next maps. that way we won't get any bad/random choices thrown in. the only reason they should continue with the themes is if they have more than one DLC planned(or season pass 2)
perfect picks, mausoleum was my favorite. if we do end up voting for maps, you know the mouthbreathers on the epic forums are going to pick some shitty maps. every poll that i see has River as the number one choice.

They still need help when it comes to hit detection. Shot the boomshot (the boomshot!) at someones head running at me. They ran through it and domed me. Seriously?
And I hate the kids that play this game, still. I down a guy, and they go to steal it ignoring the second guy that then blows everyone away. Or the lulz moment when someone that is stunned and their gun is pointed at the ground someone gets a headshot on you. It's Friday 13th alright.

killed it playing KOTH on fenix rising maps last night. God damn, I don't know what happened but my game improved. Got 30+ kills, 15 downs and like 9 caps. KOTH is so fun, at least I feel better when someone outshotgun dances me plus it's easier to get kills in KOTH.

On another note, still plugging away at Onyxes, still at 57 but I'm only 200 horde waves away from getting my last two horde medals (money and waves), everything after that should be cake. Lancer, Gnasher, Assists, First Bloods. My disdain for people who play public horde is at an all time high. Anyone who quits pre wave 10, steals a silverback without saying anything and then runs around and gets it destroyed, people who run off by themselves, it's like an exercise in futility for 90% of all matches.
So...posting in another thread made me think, wouldn't the character models from Bulletstorm work in this game?
Why not have some multiplayer skins based on Grayson, Ishii (sp?) and Trishka? Obviously Bulletstorm guns wouldn't work in Gears, but I'd think it would be kinda cool to run around as Grayson, just to hear him say "dicktits" or whatever all the time.
In other news, I was UP and freaking down this weekend. Played about 10 matches with pretty much the same 9 other folks and it seemed like every match someone different got MVP. I'd have 14 kills one match and 2 the next. WTF.

For some reason I heard the song, "go go chasing waterfalls" by TLC playing in my head as I read this post.
I do respect the dream man. Stay on that grind, it could definitely happen. I'd love a job being a game tester more than anything, and to one day be the lead guy for the testing department or at least high up. I'm weird and like repetitive tasks, and nitpicking shit is just in my genes.
Too bad there aren't any studios out here where I live.

It has its issues. It's a fantastic MP game no doubt, but it's not without its flaws. That being those inherent to gears (getting bullshitted).
My time with Gears is going to take a massive hit when GRFS comes out.

Idk how people sit and play Horde. I mean it's great and all but I just find it too long. I get to about round 20 and I feel like quitting and not continuing.

It's about mindlessly fucking around. It's great for if you just wanna BS with some friends and not take anything "serious."
So I started playing this again, and am really enjoying it now that I'm over my BF3 addiction.

Last night I got into a public horde match on clocktower. First person leaves at wave 8, second at wave 15 (host), so I lose 20k worth of forts, 3 person leaves at 17. Me and one other guy (with the help of a silverback) then beat waves 18-50 only failing two waves (37 and 50). Waves 41-50 got me 19k experience.
That's a perfect example of why I love and hate horde; this is maybe the 4th or 5th time i've made it through all 50 waves of horde in a public match, and I never leave unless it becomes obvious we won't beat it or the host quits and it disconnects me.

probably, if you jump into a ranked game against a full team.
I say just hit up horde, beast, campaign to get used to the game again. cover cancels, three new starting weapons, something like nine new map-based weapons, lots of new modes and many more tweaks to the gameplay that i can't even remember. the cover cancels alone make it feel like night and day maneuvering around the map. it's gears man, shit's the best.

Got the game. I'm not bad after all these years lol. Not great, but on a couple familiar maps I didn't get crushed.
What dlc do I need to get? Versus only. Don't need SP or horde focused dlc.

You'll need the third and fourth DLCs; Fenix Rising and Forces of Nature.
And for those who don't know, the 5x increase is permanent, which is perfect since now that I finally finished Mass Effect 3, I can go bad hard into Gears 3 again, and I gotta work on tons of medals including curbstomping fools online.

Nice. But, it's not surprising that people don't execute a lot. People don't want assholes to steal their kills, so they have to shoot them from afar.
