Jealous of the Glory that is Johnny Depp
dc has better villains than marvel, only marvel property with awesome villains is x-men.

honestly i think watching the wire recently has ruined any suspension of disbelief i wouldve had for stuff like this; the idea of a bowman in modern society is so crazy, how do you stop someone with a gun with a bow without dipping into some sort of crazy deus ex machina technology?

...superheroes

Also it's not like they're out in the open in their initiative, and that they're not agile (in fact they are capable of being precise while dodging)

From what I've seen it is their villains that are weak.

Then again, the only things in the DC-iverse I can stand are Flash (turrrrrible enemies... god DC has the worst villains ever) and Batman (which has the benefit of not being a superhero)

>hating on Flash Rogues

I just don't know what to say

Also I am gonna refute that "not being a super hero".

Also unlike Smallville.. they are actually turning the character into a hero on the show and not spending 10 years taking him on a journey!

In any case people are confusing with popularity to quality yet again.

As for Green Arrow... erm, what ever happened to that live action Blue Beetle?

Ahh I see. Well, there goes an awesome chance for some toku based on DC comics property. I mean, he essentially is a bit of a Kamen Rider in origin, and the Reach has that kaijin vibe to them. Think of Worms from Kabuto :p

That clip wasn't half bad. I mean, it's clearly supposed to be "Batman, but with Green Arrow", but whatever.

kinda wish that Wonder Woman show got a shot on CW.

Well, maybe not that particular one that had the pilot leaked, but yeah. A Wonder Woman show on CW would have been pretty cool.

Absolute nonsense. Take away the Bat-villains and all DC has is Luthor and Darkseid. Marvel's villain roster is exponentially better.

I always love that logic.. take away a part of the argument.. and you can see I'm right!

This will just turn into.. I prefer so and so.. over so and so..
Its a futile argument.

Thanks, the CW site clip wasn't working for me on my work pc. I think it looks pretty cool! hope they clean some of it up, that shot of "Queen Industries" looked like someone drew it in 5 minutes then they posted a picture, haha.

Arrow, Katniss, Hawkeye... Archers are the new vampires.

and if you count young justice then artemis and speedy too.

I was really enjoying Green Arrow in the recent Green Lantern run with Geoff Johns. Shame they turned him into a little annoying dude in the New 52. Just like Hawkeye with Marvel.

This looks like my #1 show in the WORLD Smallville. #icant Stephen Amell is so freaking sexy i am not worthy.

Wait, Zatanna's in too?

Yeah let's ignore Braniac, Metallo, and a bunch of Supes' villains, GL's villainesque "warm" colors, Flash's rogues, fucking Black Adam, etc.

My only experience with New 52 Green Arrow was in JL 8, where he tries to join the team. He keeps following them around on missions like some kid, and they tell him to fuck off. Aquaman freaking hates him for some reason.

The best cracks on him ironically come from Green Lantern. "We already have one guy (Batman) who can't do anything. What do we need you for?"

Hahahaha wow.

Still kinda sad, originally the tandem was GL and GA.

sadly that was only Smallville

Aww darn.

I'd love to watch a solid Green Arrow TV show, but unfortunately, it looks like two of the show-runners are Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. Guggenheim, for those of you who don't know, was one of the principal writers on Green Lantern in addition to being the writer who turned Alan Scott from this:

Into this:

Blech. Guggenheim also wrote what's arguably the only crappy arc in all of Amazing Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the "Who Was Ben Reily?" story.

And then there's Kreisberg. I know he wrote some episodes on Fringe (which I quit after the first season), but I mostly know him from his run on Green Arrow/Black Canary, picking up where Judd Winick left off, and man, it was bad. Really, really bad.

So color me disinterested. Which is too bad. Because, as I said above, a Green Arrow show could be really cool.
