With regards to that "green and white" tease earlier. What about the GTAV logo?
That's a good one. Didn't even cross my mind.

Dude said he couldn't talk about it further until AFTER E3.
I doubt they'd leave it out of E3 if it was known to be coming.
It is a proprietary format similar to Blu-ray. It could simply be something similar to the production philosophies of the Nintendo optical disc that was produced for Gamecube and Wii in collaboration with Panasonic. What are they using? Is it likely just a proprietary drive that will rival Blu-Ray in terms of size?

I can say I have seen something green and white. What that something is will have to wait until post E3 at the earliest...
I interpreted that as 'after the conference'.
BELIEVE!
I interpreted that as 'after the conference'.
I really doubt they would save GTA for after the conference. Plus he said "E3" not conference.
EDIT: DAMMIT TheGreatMightPoo!
I dunno, that could mean a lot of things. It seems much more likely that someone would know about a 3rd party announcement rather than a 1st party one anyway.Dude said he couldn't talk about it further until AFTER E3.

I just still think that we're in a time right now where developers and (more so) publishers just don't understand what people want. They think that slapping a multiplayer mode is going to attract people, but it almost never works. The casual market enjoys Call of Duty, and they don't want to play a Call of Duty knock-off. Why play that when you can get the real thing for the same price?
You see, you have to differentiate yourself, and give people reasons to be interested in your game in the first place. I'm not saying all unique games sell well, or even most, but you definitely have a better shot than just trying to throw up another modern FPS, or tack-on a multiplayer mode. It just doesn't work, and if a lot of the casual market is leaving console gaming for a while, then you're just burning the main market you have left, which are the people that buy the majority of the non-Cods, Maddens, or Halos on the platform.
A good example is Assassin's Creed. The first game was pretty awful, but the mechanics and execution of it all was fairly unique, and as the sequels got better and better, more people got interested. Instead of a tacked on multiplayer, they felt like they delivered something unique, that has been improved upon since its introduction. People like unique ideas and concepts. They don't want a CoD clone, and they don't want a standard versus multiplayer. Do something unique, and people may give a shit. Follow the leader, and you're sure to fail.
So doesn't this mean it won't be at E3? I would think something this big would be at E3.
EDIT: Beaten.
GTAV is pretty damn important. Not that it'll do that much for Wii U in itself, barring a timed exclusive or heavily marketed exclusive DLC, but its presence or absence will be one of the best indicators as to how Nintendo's Western third-party outreach is turing out - there's literally no chance that they haven't lobbied Rockstar hard for a port.
Rockstar doesn't give a shit about E3, for good reason, so nothing of theirs will make any appearance anywhere.
And why, exactly, are we believing this "green and white" shit? Does this poster have a history of accurate information? Are they known source? Or are they just saying a bunch of stuff. Because, with all due respect to said poster, there's a bunch of guys saying a bunch of stuff on lots of forums, and 99% of it is people making things up.

Grain of salt, yup yup. That's just too vague for me to get truly excited. *shrug*Rockstar doesn't give a shit about E3, for good reason, so nothing of theirs will make any appearance anywhere.

Honestly, what's stopping Nintendo from doing Galaxy 3?
Those games sell decently enough, and they could really show off the graphics well for a Mario game.
With them continuing certain Mario series, I don't see why this one can't be continued even further.

And remember, Chinatown Wars was announced in Nintendo's conference.
Dude, after your Retro Star Fox claim, you have no room to talk>:OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Some people want them to move on from the Galaxy games.
My take is: How can you move on from such a wonderful template after just two games???

I hope they do go a different route. While I loved both Galaxy games, I would like to see something new.

Because it's a new system???
Or you'd want them to do somethng new even if it was another Wii game???
This is pretty much exclusively a publisher problem. Their goal is to make as much money as possible, as far as possible. To appease shareholders. To make revenue. They find something that works, and repeat it until it has been dug into the ground. They look at what is working elsewhere, and clone it. It's stupid, dumb short sighted stop-gapping of your financial plan: make lots of money now, and fuck the future.
Ironically, this generation has seen the birth of a lot of cool, new franchises, but even then they're being dragged through the mud. 'Creed is doing well, but we didn't really need yearly iterations. Every game and its dog must have a whole social/multiplayer component, because single games are big and scary and we can't nickle and dime consumers if they're not stuck online (meanwhile, Skyrim sells a bazillion copies). I love social/multiplayer features, but they're rarely done right. Just another way to dick consumers and make as much money in the short term as possible.

I say they mix it up with some stand non-gravity based Mario gameplay, and galaxy levels.
Just 18 days away... so close but yet so far away
Yeah, that'd be cool.
They could expand upon the first game with open level worlds along with the linear crazy planetoids deal.
I woudn't bitch at an all new direction though as I trust EAD Tokyo.
I'd be happy with Galaxy 3, mainly because where the fuck do they go next?
Also, 2 ended on a cliffhanger, most people want to see it resolved and would probably be disappointed if it wasn't.
Yeah and I can't imagine how crazy must be at Nintendo as we are getting closer and closer.
I can imagine Iwata/Reggie practicing for their presentations/speeches and devs working like crazy to prepare what's to be shown on the show floor.
Really, I've been wondering, what's the deadline (if there is one) for devs to complete their "demos" for E3?
You'll forgive me with the EVA inspired Retro Star Fox is announced. You'll see.
Not enough, let me tell you.
Chinatown Wars was supposed to be a big exclusive. It was a big deal for Nintendo at the time, and evidence of strong partnerships with a company that does well in areas Nintendo does not. Otherwise, Rockstar doesn't bother with E3. They're smart enough (and wealthy enough) to play their cards elsewhere, at their own leisure.
