Kamiya's on twitter now and it looks like people are bugging him about being disappointed and shit. Poor dude.
I tweeted at him that this might be my favourite game shown at E3 though :]
What deference does it make? It's not a game that can easily be demonstrated and understood. It's appeal is somewhat niche and following Pikmin 3 it would have been even more confusing. Just look at how long this board crapped all over the game before people started understanding what they were looking at. Post conference was (arguably) the right choice for this game as it allowed for a more personalized first impression.

great to know!
care to elaborate more about nintendoland?
People hate fun. More positive reinforcement for Kamiya is needed!Kamiya's on twitter now and it looks like people are bugging him about being disappointed and shit. Poor dude.

Just came back from the show and this game is AMAZING. This and the games on Nintendoland (yes, you read right) really stood out for me as to how fun they are. P-100's games graphics have a certain "solid" quality to them thats hard to describe... its like you are playing with real life toys. What you don't see on gamepro's playthrough are the third person solo gameplay that occurs when you enter the buildings. Its just the viewtiful joe-looking hero with a behind the camera viewpoint solving the puzzle.
Needless to say, day 1. Kamiya, you viewtiful bastard.
wow, this is sad.
goddammit, people, why
i will follow your trend

And God sent his one and only son, Hideki Kamiya, down to Earth to create games. And the games were good.
i just tweeted him some love as well
Kamiya deserves every drop of my respect
What does that make Mikami?
It's not 3rd party. It's not that type of 'core.' The conference was viewable 5 ways, the game was shown on 4 of those immediately after the conference. Anybody who cared to watch the conference should know about it.Couldn't disagree more. Show the game properly and people will pick up on it; show it improperly and people get bored. That conference desperately needed 3rd party 'core' games, and the very best of the bunch was left out. Whet people's appetites and then lead them to your website if you must; if they don't even know the game exists what good is a demonstration on gametrailers?
Funny part is how many people would be hyped for Bayonetta 2, but it's only the 'same old shit' when it's a shooter, I guess.
Well, as you know they have the 5 featured games on their " nintendoland" section of the booth. They are packed with people. let me describe a few of them: Played the luigi's mansion game. Its pac-man versus with a twist, and all my fellow players where screaming as i caught them (was the ghost and won ). Zelda is like the wii sports resort fencing game with zelda themed influences. You have to work together with other players to activate switches, while the wii pad guy shoots arrows. Some switches can only be shot with arrows, like to open castle gates and so. The graphics are like a 3d yoshi storyfied zelda flair thingie.
The Donkey Kong game is a tilting uniracers like game. Difficult. you need to transverse a lot of obstacles, activate lifting devices and switches, all while tilting the remote minding your delicate mii in the vehicle.
Also, though unrelated, there was his really cool panoramic view app displayed for the system. You could choose from a number of real life world attractions, and while the images dispayed on the tv you could pan around in 360 degrees and see everything around you. It was amazing. The attractions where off the top of my head:
-being in the middle of carnaval in rio de janeiro
-flying with birds over a beautiful landscape
-a japanese garden with cherry blossoms
-british bus ride through london
its real life videos of these atractions somehow shot in 360 degrees and leting you look in every direction. even up or down.
This game is by far my favorite game on the show floor. During my booth tour I spent about 15-20min playing this and actually finished the demo, and I have to say that this is a MUST OWN title for the system. I truly hope it is a launch game, and not a launch "Window" game!!
People talking shit on the dude's twitter are nuts. Game looks amazing.
Has anyone ever asked Kamiya about dmc? The reboot, I mean.

Well this game might get me to buy a Wii U at launch if it's a launch title. I was planning on waiting a bit after the lackluster conference but I don't think I can resist this (if it's truly as good as it looks)
He hates being asked about it. Especially when people complain about it.
After 3DS and Vita, I would hold off until we have firm dates. 'Launch window' has turned into a bullshit term. This, Pikmin, and Rayman have made this so easy for me, honestly.
Of course, anyone would, but I mean more in the sense of just what he thinks as a game versus as a dmc game. Like, as a game, it looks so-so, but artistically gorgeous to me. It's kind of like how they were able to civilly ask Remedy what they thought of Max Payne 3.
I just watched the full Gamespot Live demo walkthrough, and it looks really fun. The stages are varied and creative, the game has a ton of personality, and the various moves and the mid-bosses and stuff all look pretty fun.
