did they use motion capture for this?
If so, I'd love to see the making of video.....

Yes. Yes it was. He stylin and so is his duck.
What in God's name is this glorious game?
What in God's name is this glorious game?
I don't know, stupid isn't the first thing that came to my mind when watching this.
Oh I totally agree with you. I only posted it because it's like Iori is just asking to get kicked in the face. Not that he's thinking or caring about that in that state. No! No! No! Wrong again! This single handedly made Iori (and Leona) the best of KOF!
Yeah, Patroklos's is really goofy. It's like he's playing a game of sword keep away. What the fuck is this guy doing?
The best, Jerry, the best.
Another one:
Platinum the Trinity, Rachel Alucard and Litchi from Blaz Blue Continuum Shift Extend
Lol at how serious most of the character's defense is with the stances being posted in this thread. Guard? What guard? Completely chilling is the new defense.
These animated stances are more awesome than they do suck. the sprite work and animation is great!
Oh the animation is definitely great and so are most of the animations and poses I posted. Especially taking into account that they fit the personalities and backstories of their characters...they're just completely STUPID to use as a stance in a fight. No guard what so ever lol.
Mai's stance in KOF 13 is so stupid.
showin' off those puppies. nothing wrong with it!
Yeah. Even the impractical stances, I really like. Like I posted Q's stance earlier. It's awesome. But in an alternate universe where I'm the type of person to get in fights, I'm not standing around playing air piano when I think someone's about to hit me.
Respect.A bunch of these are not stupid, if a character practices Drunken Kung-Fu or Prying mantis, then thats what those stances look like ... oh and Sumo wrestling, duh
The stupid ones are the ones that dont sell any martial art OR attitude, but then this becomes "Mortal Kombat, the thread"
I respect SF2 and all but Chun-Li just looks really awkward in it, especially in walking stance.
He's Oro the hermit in Street Fighter 3. He's apparently supposed to be so badass he ties one hand so that other fighters gets a handicap.
Constipation is a bitch.
Here's another.
Shang: You come here often?
Momoko: WHAT?
Shang: I SAID, DO Y-... HOW OLD ARE YOU?
Momoko: I'M EIGHTEEN!
Shang: DO YOU COME HERE OFTEN!?

I'm surprised no one has brought this one up yet:
Upper half wants to fight. Lower half wants to flee.
Lion
That shit might fly in some wuxia movie but it isn't practical!

Then you consider that Shang Tsung is, like, 600 years old or something...

"I iron your clothes"But I think that this is the most stupid stance Ryu's ever had:
Wtf is he doing. lol
It's perfectly fiiiiiinnne.
I always thought T-Hawk had a pretty goofy stance.
"Helllloooo... my eyes are up heeeerrrre."I've always found Morrigan's fighting stance to be pretty strange:
What's she even doing with her hands?
"Break out some fresh linens, Bedilia! We're gonna have Colonel Angus here tonight!"
