I heard the lack of Suikoden 2 on psn is due to all the typos and even outright missing text in the localization, and no one (at Konami) wanting to spend the time to go back into the ROM and fix it all. Not sure if that is really true, though.

The PSP version of 1+2 is superior as it has true widescreen graphics. Shame it never got released outside of Japan but it IS on the JP PSN store.

well, its fine as long as it doesn't have serious slowdown/glitching issues. (which is probably why they are only rolling out some games, and not all by default)

They said about 100 of the 160 or so games will be working as of tuesday. The rest will be rolled out (slowly... if the psp support is any indication).


But, just to reiterate, you do not have to rebuy your PSone games. Everything you bought on the ps3, psp, got for free with PS+... it will all work on the Vita. Eventually.

Actually they said that 100+ titles will be avaible from tuesday 28th... I don't think they'll release every 100 on day1.

SO ready to replay Final Fantasy VII, even though I bought the recent PC release which actually looked pretty playable.

Be terrific if the PS1 classics had transfarring of saves? Had there been any word from Sony on this? Even if it was a "we're working on it" i'd be super psyched, syncing FF saves for couch playing would be nice on the holidays.

You have always had the ability to cross transfer save files on PSP, the vita will be no different.

If they offer some sort of anti aliasing, it'll be bearable. Even the bi-linear filtering should make it look better.

Yea, it's a bit lazy, they have a US Imports section that I imagine is to save them time and effort sorting out EU versions yet don't ever just use it.

I'm more excited for this than any of the new Vita games coming out. Wanting to play through MGS1 and the Mega Man games they've already put up, but who knows of the Japanese games will be supported. Also they need to release the rest of those games, I think they stopped at 3 :/.

Never played them, but always heard great things. This is a great chance for me to catch up on games I missed. PSone was rife with excellent games. I still never played Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross, FFIX, Alundra, SOTN, Legend of the Dragoon, and so much more I'm sure. Really looking forward to this.

The first and the third game can't quite compare to "Arc the Lad 2", I would only recommend them for completionists. Playing the first one is ok I guess because 1 & 2 are connected story wise and Arc 1 is really short anyway, but Arc 3 had one of the most annoying JRPG-characters I have ever seen.

EDIT: But even if I still own the retail copies, I rebought all of them on PSN anyway. RTS is a good genre on the go.

Yeah, I bought the Arc the Lad collection and didn't play the games for months.
So after I while, I thought it would be time for it.
And maaaaan..... amazing!
One of the all time greats.

Now, the real question is how messed up will some of the games be? After having to wait this long, my faith in Sony's engineer's abilities to deliver flawless performance on all 100 games is pretty slim. I'd love to be wrong and eat some crow, but I really don't think it's on the menu.

It already looked worlds better during remote play so I would assume it would look even better.
