I come with a gift.

In my veins, etc.

Game looks real good. Better than the wii version. I mean the fighting animations are amazing. The towns feel fleshed out. Looks nice. Only complaint is his running animation looks like he's running scared like, "OMG OMG OMG I HAVE TO GET OUT OF HEEEERRRE!!!"

Sprint animations are like that against "boss" monsters in the MH games, and I think that they are trying to convey exactly that reaction from the hunter. :)

However, if you like it is another matter. I personally love it. :)

And even i am moderately surprised
comes up forbidden from work - another friend tweeted - isn't seamless but thankfully load times are extremely short and the levels are multiteired.

Loved gameplay aspect but they neeeeed to improve the textures? Capcom handled Resident Evil Revelation/Mercenaries texture very good, and MH Tri3G looks better in graphically so MH team should be able to improve the textures/graphic.

Wow, holy shit. This looks amazing.

Have they unveiled a "box art" monster for this yet? Perhaps the horn-eyed dragon at the end?

Looks good but what's with the dearth of new monsters shown? Normally by this stage of a Monster Hunter game's life cycle we would have seen 80% of the new cast already. Hell even the returning monsters were few too.

I don't have a 3DS or even touched one yet, how does the graphics in this compare to other games on the platform?

Cause IDK, this seems really bad.

In my experience you have to see the games running on the system yourself, because the 3D effect may change your perception of the system's graphic capabilities. I'm not particularly a fan of it, but at the moment I'm playing GR: Shadow Wars and it's one the dullest looking games imaginable and seems to embody the very spirit of "next gen brown". At least as long as you only view it in 2D. In 3D it's like staring through a window at a small tabletop game and sometimes I stop playing and just take a few seconds to enjoy(!) moving the camera around. There's something about it, something intangible, that makes it feel a bit special, which you can't help but appreciate.

When it works that is. In many games it doesn't and in something like Shinobi it actually ruins the game. The point is it's difficult to determine whether it actually works in MH4 without seeing it on the system.

Well they still have a while to go before release, which should be used to work on some graphical issues.

However, I can't help but think that the sharpness of the game is to account for the for the 3D when turned on. Anyways it will look better on the 3DS than youtube.

I'm excited for this game but I still think visually it is a little rough. Or should I say sharp. It looks like every surface in the game is made of knives.

Yeah, the mountains look unfinished.

It's still got a while before it comes out, though. So there's some time for improvements.

Will QA for food.
I thought it was pretty fugly when they were panning around in town, but the battle clips look fine in motion. And it'll look better on an actual 3DS too. I'm really looking forward to the advancements in combat, but MH3U will tide me over for at least a year.

For some reason Ultimate looks better...

I thought it was because it had a seamless world, but now that is confirmed that is not....

The models are noticeably worse though. Plus the environment looks much more basic.
Won't know enough till we have it on the 3DS ofc/comparable screenshots.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
I've tried to get into Monster Hunter with Unite and Tri and haven't been able to, but this looks more appealing to me. Not sure if I want to play it on a portable though, especially one without a second stick built in.

obviously there's a large, large disparity between what the game will look like running on the 3DS hardware vs an upscaled youtube video, so I don't really have any concerns about the graphics

the new aerial attacks look neat, as does the new staff weapon class

here's hoping for an eventual localization!
