Just look at the ground textures, right in the beginning when the hunter is searching the nest. I love the colourful environments, but the textures for those environments look really terrible at this point. It won't stop me from buying and enjoying the game, but the 3DS has put out prettier games.

True, a closeup of a tiny area that is supposed to represent a dung pile does look pretty bad but if you look at the rest of areas as a whole it's really nice. When they show the full environments, it has this painting like quality which I find very appealing to the eye. The 3ds has had prettier games though not ones to this scale, plus the animations are fantastic which I find more important than certain ground textures.

I was playing MHP3 yesterday and jesus this series has the best battle engine of any action game. the weight of the weapons, lack of lock-on all help to make it extremely satisfying when you land hits specially when using heavy weapons.

I don't think anyone could have imagined a bug stick that gave you reverse west mile virus. Doesn't seem like there'll be another weapon introduced, especially 6 months before release, but I really want another weapon that uses the Gunner armor.

If they did reveal another, I'd imagine it would be in the game already, just not announced yet. I had a good long think while playing 3G, and couldn't get the idea of gauntlets out of my head, even though I know they wouldn't work.

More agile than dual blades, with retractable spikes that can be covered with poison or stun bottles to wear monsters down.

Again, I know it wouldn't work, but it'd be interesting for sure, and different.

I have to agree with this. The area where the hunter was fighting the monkey-thing looked really really bad. It reminded me of the deku tree and forest temple from OOT on the N64. The cut scenes of the town and the sand skiff looked odd too. It was almost as if they had an oil filter effect.

The monsters and hunters in the game looked fine but everything else looked like it had taken a good step back compared to Tri G.

Glad to see they brought back YKK. I hope Rajang makes it back too.

This and sleep bombing are the only things that bother me with Monster Hunter.
In high tier games, it's either lance or bust. And sleepbombing just isn't that fun~

It's popular to suggest that for beginners because those weapons don't hit your teammates that much

But in a good party, people can adjust their combos with every weapon type based on the positioning of the monster and allies. As long as everyone is attacking, efficiency between the weapons isn't that drastic.

The dev Tigrex battle is such a troll. First he acts like a noob with the Neopteron Handler, then he goes all out demon mode with the lance

Damn after seeing this i hope i wont get bored with Tri Ultimate and Soul Sacrifice...the different terrain levels really add a different level of epicness and gameplay possibilities.

I don't know if it'll be the most powerful weapon again, but he did have a much easier time on Tigrex with a lance than the pole lol. Every weapon has a jumping attack right?

Yeah, they introduced in 3G. It just turns the camera in the direction of the monster.

I don't thnk voice-chat is possible, but a virtual on screen keyboard is a must, custom preset messages as well.
