About to play my first S&S RT online match..quite excited.

-Awesome! Game is a lot of fun. I would be overjoyed if they improved the fps..

I'd post a screenshot but the next round is starting. Can't believe you can use jukebox for online matches too! Got a boost each lap and naturally won the first. :D Just came in second. The fps isn't bad online either, quite happy :}

Shame only two other people have this on my friendslist.

I got BlazBlue. Wow, I like P4a better. Aesthetics better, music better, game isn't a clusterfuck of systems and anime and woman going COUNTA COUNTA COUNTA over and over

Does that make P4A good or BB shitty?

Uh, P4U and GG and BB play nothing alike. There's similar systems but each of them is their own style.

(But yes, BB is kinda bad. Too slow and too much diversity to where learning characters is more an uphill battle than it should be)

I started Gravity Rush, GAF
Nocturne can wait until January for me to dig out the PS2 and hook it up to play
ya'll better be right about the achievement list and it BETTER BE GOOD. >:|

The one with all the ramps and bumps in the first world? Crash Down I believe it's called.

Worst level in the game. As well as anything involving the Rally Car or Buggy

I forget the name. It's definitely the buggy/rally car time-trial. Soured me completely on the game.

Motorstorm RC soured on me around the dirt track stage. Couldn't gold it to save my life and I got tired of attempting to clear it's gold time-trial by sliding around too much so I gave up.

I actually tried the "send one challenge, do it ten times" thing and it still works. SOOOO HAPPY!

So it does still work? If you wanna get more cars, do it 20 times instead of 10

Trust me it's really easy. Just remember that when you can eventually use the Stasis Field (use Circle to pick up and throw objects), holding Circle on a powered up Stasis Field will make it expand and allow you to hold more objects. Didn't realise that until the very last challenge in the game. Also don't worry about messing up gems. There's more than enough in the game

Rally cars and the tiny lightweight buggies are the worst. Anything that drifts too much, I can't handle.

Always found BB bewildering. Totally bewildering. And the rebels, oh man so many rebels.

I bought it once the price on PSN dropped. Most regretted purchase this year.

Fighting feels slow and stiff, there is little consistency across characters in terms of mechanics (so everything feels unbalanced and unintentional), the art and music are dire...

Just bad all around.

I hope you guys are prepared for the inevitable Alundra&Wild Arms Lets play threads?

By the end of the year, I WILL own those games. I think we'll start with Alundra, so make sure to grab that at one point or if you already own it, to prepare your mind for it :p We got a PS1 backlog to tackle together! I plan to put up the Alundra Lets play thread around new years eve and then we'll see how long that will run.

When? Because I stopped playing in August and since I forgot to back up my save, I really don't have the will to go and get like 50% of the courses unlocked again on golds. :/

Missed this. You don't need to back up your save. As long as you were signed in, it would have synced your progress with the network. It's why the transition between PS3 and Vita is so seamless. You can finish a race. Quit and load the game on the other platform and pick up exactly where you left off as long as you were signed into PSN. No need to upload or save anything

I just said they play nothing alike, which is why I like P4A. duhhhhhhh

AC3 Vita isn't very good, get old very fast. Swapped it out for MK, which is great. Minus the character closeups.

Exactly!

I always feel like I should defend BB when you bag on it.
But then I remember you're a big DoA fan and I just think "different strokes...". :D

No, what I mean is: Coming from P4U and expecting BB to play similar is a fools errand. Then again I played GG, BB before hand and knew Arc's tradition of not having similar playstyles for "their" games to where I didn't expect P4U to be similar. I wasn't attacking you, per say, just saying you probably should've researched BB a little.

(Some of) You guys would not believe the sales on iOS and Android...some of the games I have to say are quite comparable. Not all of course, but damn, really helps choosing between the simpler multi-mobile platform titles that are usually overpriced on Vita (not much difference in content). I guess it makes sense with the userbase..but they're pushing it a bit too steep with some Vita titles imo.

Eg Super Monkey Ball on Android vs Vita.. sure the control and framerate is better on Vita...but the maps...the fun etc.. not worth 25x the price! .. PvZ.. (Eufloria? If that ever lands).
Other titles, (even iOS types) really benefit from the extra power and controls (GTAIII / JSR- although they are nice as spares when I don't have my Vita with me - and at $1 each.. come on). Even Max Payne is a lot of fun - would be brilliant on Vita!

I'm kinda glad anyway, got a ridiculously nice selection on Vita now, spoiled for choice really. No space either =/ hurts to delete titles..might start getting used to switching out the memory cards (same account) - where do you guys keep your spares?

-also SFxT is growing on me. Time for some PSASBR... been missing it recently.

Finally got my copy of Sonic Racing Transformed today. Great looking game when in motion (I took some shots thinking 'whoa" while racing, but they looked kind of bland in Content Manager). I'm having trouble with the controls though, so I'll probably be picking up the PDP trigger grip from Amazon.

Got my 16 gig card from best buy for 30 after all was said and done. Also picked up rayman and escape plan with the digital sale. Loving both games so far but rayman is my new favorite vita game. I can't wait to see what is on sale next week.

Jamix012 and BlueMaxima!

Daily reminder! Still need your gifts! If you havent ordered them on GS yet, you need to do so soon since some codes take up to 24 hours to sent.

Everyone who's played it seems to love it. I just picked it up this evening, looking forward to giving it a whirl soon.

Yeah I'm gonna do the same. I already have $2 sitting in my psn wallet, too. I read it can take up to 20 hours depending on skill level and all that.

Plane trip next week, could use some PSOne/PSP advice in terms of rounding out my in-flight options (not that I have any shortage of stuff to choose from). Here's what I have:

Persona 4
Gravity Rush
WipEout 2048
Uncharted
Jet Set Radio
Mutant Blobs

Alundra
Vagrant Story
Parasite Eve
Prinny
Final Fantasy Tactics

I'm looking for something, preferably on PS1, that is a bit more lightweight than what I have. I'm thinking Tomba, but I might be missing something else (maybe a very user-friendly RPG that won't compel me to consult an FAQ?).

Is there any way to "add to cart" on the vita store? Or are you forced to buy individually? I was just buying the dlc for gravity rush and it wouldn't me buy it all together so I have money remaining in my wallet.

Also, wasn't Dokuro $15 or $20 before? Was this a stealth price drop?

Dokuro's regular price is $20. It's currently on sale for $10 but it should go back to normal price eventually.

Grandia should fit the bill. Its a nice, sizeable and charming game that you shouldnt need a FAQ for.

Dokuro's regular price is $20. It's currently on sale for $10 but it should go back to normal price next Monday or the week after.

That's so funny, because I was browsing the store just recently and saw Dokuro and said to myself, "man I'd buy that but not for $20, maybe for $10." Then I clicked on it and saw it was $10 and was really confused why I ever thought it was $20. They should list that somehow as a price drop. It's not listed in Holiday Sale or Featured.

Gex3 ? I "heard" it's good.

I can't play it because I have extreme case of Scoliodentosaurophobia (that lizard phobia..I scream like a lil girl if I see a lizard and get nightmare even because of pixelated ones ) so don't blame me if it's bad.

This battle on Dynasty Warriors is so fucking stupid. I get stuck using Zhuge Liang which isn't so bad and I do pretty much the entire battle flawlessly. Then I get to pretty much the final part of the stage and I get stuck fighting two officers at once that seemingly spam their true musou attack at full health basically at will. I've died like 4 times at that part and it's honestly frustrating that I have to go into conquest and grind a 3rd weapon that is better than what I have and gives defense because the game designs things poorly. Like yep I've defeated random crap general about a dozen times and he's come back every single time, but the second I get hit more than twice I'm dead and must redo the entire 20 minute stage again, complete with broken fucking duel on this shitty touch screen.

Like yeah I want to shoot whatever fucking idiot that thought touch screen duels should be in this game.

I'd stay away from any ps1 game that isn't jrpg/srpg as thy are really painfull to watch.

And then of course the moment I post here to vent I get lucky twice.

First Cao Pi comes out by himself and I wreck him.

Then when Sima Yi comes out I get a random double attack and wreck him.

Funny how easy the stage becomes when the game gives me great luck.

How you can even do this >_<

There are some PSone games (not JRPG) that aged pretty well graphically and control wise like Crash Team Racing,Soul Reaver, Symphony of the Night,Omega Boost,Spyro,Rayman,RR Type 4.. but yeah they are the exceptions...and it's shame that most of them are not on the PS store yet.

The 3D games that have aged the best are Intelligent Qube and Vagrant Story (MGS is still pretty slick too).

So many PS1 games need sequels, or at least HD remakes. Console of the forever.

Alright, im back.

Got banned for two weeks for posting a joke in the Dark souls 2 announcement thread.

I got my 32 gig card and have been using it to it's fullest, I finally got around to playing uncharted and it confirms my suspicions I've had for a long time

I hate Nathan Drake, and the uncharted series, the gun play in golden abyss is some of the worst garbage i've ever tried to play.

Mutant blobs however is a very surprising fun game with a lot of variety, I love it.

I'm already halfway through my second playthrough of P4G, I've never played a persona game before, and I heard alot of great things about it, I gave it a try and after spending nearly 80 hours on my first playthrough, I have not regretted my vita purchase in the slightest, I appreciate that it gave me this chance to play such an amazing game. it inspired me to pick up P4: Arena, while it lacks in depth to the rest of the game Labyrs story was very well done as well as being a pretty fun fighting game. I wouldn't mind double dipping on a P4A: Golden edition for vita.

I picked up Rayman, and am having tons of fun.

Are there any news on next week deals? I'm hoping to pick up Zeros last reward.

What? This is the best thing about the game. The gyro gun play is amazing.

Disagree. I love the game, but the gunplay is far from being good. Its cumbersome to aim and it takes too much time to line up a shot. The gyro helps, only because the tuning of the sticks happen to be bad. Unit 13, Resistance and CodBlopsD have superior shooting mechanics. The best parts of the UGA equation are measured by the overall ambiamce, visual and voice acting/story.

Do we know if that's the only flash sale for this weekend?

Give me NFS:MW for $23, and now we're talking.
PR for it says AC3 will be up all weekend, so I don't think it's changing.

In preparation for the upcoming holiday break, we have coordinated with the PlayStation Network team to include Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed III Liberation in their first-ever PlayStation Network Flash Sale. The following items are included in the sale:

• Assassin’s Creed III – 35% off
• Assassin’s Creed III Liberation – 35% off
• Assassin’s Creed III Gold (full game and season pass) – 35% off
• Assassin’s Creed III Gold & Assassin’s Creed III Liberation – 50% off

The sale is now available in North America (United States, Canada and Mexico) and is only available this weekend.

So strange. Golden Abyss was the first time I didn't feel gimped using analog sticks in a shooter, and it was solely due to gyro helping me fine tune some headshots.
