Nope.
Why? Simple. The Eshop games mostly cannot play Multiplayer with other games. Lets say they release Pokemon Blue untouched. How could you trade? You could not.
Also, Nintendo know that after Emerald and Ruby, the next Remake they will have to do is Pokemon Green and Red again for the 3DS or the 4DS. They wont ruin the chance of making an extra buck by allowing games to be remade to be playable. Its the same reason why you cannot buy Kirby All stars on the Eshop.
Would reduce the sells of Ultra and Kirby 20th.
Haha, preetty sure he meant these games-- the Gen VI ones.
I keep waiting for you and IHaveIce to post one after the other, but I haven't seen it yet.
Well these beasts are based on Norse Mythology so they are different. However I do agree that they repeat a lot of the same ideas/animals there are still plenty they haven't drawn upon such as pegasus, kraken, squid, toucan, narwhal, geese, dolphin, lemur, baboon, arctic fox/wolf, koala bear, jack o lantern, scarecrow, cheetah, llama, snowman, griffin, chupacabra, chimera, minotaur and many more.Cool, cheers. I genuinely don't know which one I prefer.
I'm a bit sad they're just repeating animals though. There must be some they haven't used...
I could kinda see that too. I always figured they were lions since there's a noticeable difference between the genders
Oshawott rocks!Nope....still cant see the oshawott comparison. Darn adorable.

Sorry if this has already been answered (didn't see it in the OP) but if I've never played a Pokemon game before, is this likely to be a good place to jump in?
Also what's the deal with this whole two versions of the game malarkey? Do I have to buy both? Or does it require another person with a 3DS and the other game or something?

Is it really THAT noticeable? The male hair sticks up like half an inch more, it took me forever to find it.
So if Entei is a lion and Raikou is a tiger wtf is Suicune?

Well, you still have 8 months until the new generation comes out. I've been telling people that Black 2 is great to get in to beforehand - that's what I'm doing, and I'm enjoying it. A new generation is always a great place to jump in, though.
Who said that? They're dogs.So if Entei is a lion and Raikou is a tiger wtf is Suicune?
Oh, speaking of gender differences...
The switch to 3D Models I imagine will make incorporating them even easier, so I hope they bring them back...Gen V kept them, but none of the new Gen V Pokemon had any, which was a bit disappointing since it was a pretty neat little feature they introduced.
Well, my thinking here is that the older games haven't gone down in price at all. So if I'm gonna pay full price, might as well get the latest version. Particularly as I just recently got a 3DS XL.
suicune is a leopard. Them spots
Unfezant, Frillish and Jellicent had pretty major ones.

Actually, with 3D Models, I'd love to see minor variations in the models based on Nature introduced, like maybe them being a slightly different shade of color, or having altered patterns or something.

I don't understand this mentality. Why would you delete a game that you own just because you beat it? It's not like you're getting any money back from it like you would if you were selling a physical game. And what if you have the urge to come back and play it again for whatever reason, with your original data? If space on your SD card is that much of an issue, you should just get a bigger one. A 16 or 32 GB SD card will hold plenty of 3DS games. No way I'm going download for Pokemon.
I imagine it'll take up a LOT of space, and further more, if you remove the game from the 3DS it deletes the save file too. Which sucks, because I'm stuck with a huge-ass Professor Layton game + save on my 3DS till I beat it.

That said, as much as I like the benefits of digital downloads, I'll be sticking with physical releases for these games like all my other 3DS games. I like consistency, and the ability to share the game or just use it in another system if I need to.
Anyone think that Game Freak might make some even bigger changes in addition to the switch to 3D? Like adding new types, the number of Pokemon you can carry, or some other useful addition?
It seems like each generation they've been making small improvements to the over all game mechanics, and Gen V had one of the best ones they ever added (Reuseable TM's). I just hope that since they're already making the big jump to 3D, they will go ahead and vastly improve some of the mechanics of the series that have been the same since the original.... It's really beyond time for it when you think about it
Give Ice a couple of resistances and buff Poison somehow, that's all I need. Though these would make Grass even worse. Balancing is hard
You have to admit it's still rather damn silly the save file gets deleted along with the game.I don't understand this mentality. Why would you delete a game that you own just because you beat it? mind blown
There's no way that footage is anywhere close to resembling final quality. The game will look great.Cell shaded characters look good but those environments leave a lot to be desired.. The map needs to be as big as in the previous games so concessions have to be made, I guess.
That's why I want one of the fossils to be a baby Sabretooth. :3mind blown
