Because Pokemon is multiplayer focused, if there is DLC it has to be stuff that won't give anyone an advantage competitively.
Pay-to-win DLC ruins a competitive environment.
I agree with what you say...stuff like Pokeballs, Potions, tokens for the Game Corner, that kind of stuff should be available as DLC.
NOT exclusive Pokemon or new areas to catch these Pokemon.

Oh, okay. I was just going by the art on the app page on Pokemon.com looking pretty similar to the Stadium models.
Because there is nothing to play on it till October.
Knowing Gamefreak you probably wouldn't even be allowed to use DLC Pokemon online so it shouldn't matter.

In the perfect world where they patch the games regularly, being able to make formes at least visible in older versions would be possible... and free advertising for someone who doesn't know what it is.

You mean the only system to be playing on. Monster Hunter Tri G, Fire Emblem, Etrian Odyssey 4, Shin Megami Tensei Soul Hackers, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion. Seriously 3DS has the best line-up of games right now. Sucks we are a little behind Japan but with Pokemon X and Y coming same time as Japan hopefully this is a good sign for Monster Hunter 4 and future titles.

I'm so annoyed that they STILL haven't announced the release date for Animal Crossing for NA. The Korean release date troll was pretty funny though, I have to admit.

Isn't that basically what the Wi-Fi events were for Gens 4 & 5?
With DLC they'll be able to create new content after release which they couldn't do with the DS games.

Personally I'd prefer a full-fledged downloadable expansion pack ala Pokemon Diamond -> Platinum instead of downloadable areas.
DLC should be kept to small stuff.

We already had it close to a year ago. It was on the Global Link website. They gave away a level 100 one.
I was mainly talking about event Pokemon and maybe even new items or moves lol. If they really wanted to its possible for them to create new areas though but I don't know if they could make more money that way or through a 3rd version.

Huh, I wonder if they're gonna adapt Dream World to Gen VI, or drop it?
It wasn't really a legit Arceus event anyway. They actually took a poll to determine any one Pokemon from the Gen IV National Dex to give out. Unsurprisingly, Arceus won.
I hope they adapt it. It was a great idea, just needed some improvements. And also for fuck's sake don't forcibly wall off berries there this time.

Maybe, but the way Kokonoe said it, made it sound like it was a fact rather than her opinion.
I'm hoping they come up with a different way to distribute Dream World abilities. Something that isn't crappy browser games hopefully.
I'm sure whatever transfer system we get is going to lock items out again just so we have to wait ages for the ever exciting ENIGMA BERRY.
Tons of Gen V Pokemon have their Dream World abilities available in-game in Version 2.
It is a fact.
