I just went downstairs for a cold pop. Lord jesus its ps4 announcement. I ran outside, I didnt have no game trailers or nothing jesus. The hype got me. And I got a 404 error. Aint nobody got time for that.

my body is ready

finally some big news. there's no way they won't be talking about the PS4 @ this playstation event especially if they're inviting investors.

i'm not expecting tech specs though. just the announcement that the PS4 is coming, some games they're working on, and which quarter to expect it to launch.

I'm pumped for this. Pretty sure I'll be buying one. It'll be my first PlayStation since the PSone. It's been too long.

We just need Sony or MS to announce them already so it opens the floodgates for all 3rd party developers as well, Watch_dogs and 1313 dont seem possible on current hardware and once next generation is announced I assume we will start seeing some impressive things from all developers

Sony overtakes Microsoft in lifetime sales. Sony suddenly takes the initiative to go first. The hype train. I'm on it. Your move Microsoft. In all seriousness Microsoft needs to do something. They need to do something now. After a spectacular and promising start they've fallen behind to finish close third this generation.

Sony has the power now. Out of the HD twins Sony has won. I never thought I'd be typing that but worldwide Sony has the lead. As for "letting Microsoft go first" Sony just aren't in a position to allow Durango to be released ahead of them. Look what happened last time. It took Sony seven years to catch-up. Plus they still have the opinion that they're the "industry leader" hence this bold and confident move.

Christ this new battle is going to be entertaining. Microsoft. Do something. Now.

Lol I can't stand the thing. It feels tiny, the analog sticks aren't tight enough for my tastes, their placement blows (the analog sticks), and the "triggers" are really mushy and not pleasant to press at all. I'd say the only good things about it are the internal rechargeable battery and the dpad. Other than that, fuck the DS3. When I was 10 I had no problems with it, my it's uncomfortable in my hands these days and I much prefer the almost perfect 360 controller.

But that's just me.

Everybody is always entitled to their opinion, but personally, I'll be really sad if they change the controller too much. The only reason problem I have with the DualShock 3 are the L2 and R2 buttons, and those are fixed with a $5 pair of add-on plastic.

Otherwise, I like the smaller controller size (Xbox 360 controller is a bit big for my hands), far, far prefer the analog sticks being in the same relative physical position, and definitely like the feel of DS3 analog sticks over Microsoft's sticks.

I certainly don't hate the Xbox 360 controller, but the DS3 is my preference. I'd hate to see Sony stray too far from what they've got now.

Being honest though? I'd love to see a future where first-party controllers like the Mad Catz MLG controller are the norm. Let us swap in and out the style of d-pad and analog sticks, as well as their positioning on the controller. (And really, while we're at it, the placement of the button array as well, for the benefit of left-handed players.)

Edit: Oh, and, of course, me at the realization that next-gen PS and Xbox systems are finally coming:

Or how about offering multiple controller sizes? Gloves come in various sizes for a reason. So should controllers.
