Battlefield bad company 1 squad still not topped it seems then.

Easily the best and most amusing squad.

My most anticipated next gen game. Wouldn't mind rolling with some hardcore gaffers for the no respawn mode. Also hoping for good sound in this game so I can pick up on the sounds of footsteps and directions. Voice chat too, I hope is good.

At 60fps might be the CoD killer. All my Xbox trickshotter quickscoping try hard CoD fanatics are seriously considering BF4 when they switch to PS4.

Same. BF4 will be my premier next-gen game. I doubt I'll play the other versions but might double dip.

Regarding your friends? They're in for a rude awakening. Sure? They might get a few kills but they'll be surprised that they won't be at the top of the scoreboards unless they help everyone out.

I wish they wouldn't bother making a singleplayer campaign because we all know its going to suck. Nobody plays BF games for singleplayer.

Fucking Beta maps are always the popular. Halo 3, BC3, BF3, Halo Reach... fucking hell, can we get some good maps in BF4 beta, at least then people will play the shit out of a good map.

Only real disappointment with BF4 so far....is the maps and colors. Granted we have only seen one...bf3 was soooooo beige and brown, even the snow maps were dull toned. Then Shanghai was announced and i was excited, one of the most colorful cities in the world, then come E3...welcome to brown shanghai. So dull. I hope they do the map at night, filled with neon lights.

You can't level the maps in BC2. Try again.

However, BF4 having destruction more akin to BC2 is great because we will hopefully see more buildings and environmental objects destroyed. BF3 was too static.

I mostly played Harvest Day in BC2 and I remember all of the buildings but the farm and trailer-like buildings could be leveled. BF3 seemed like nothing could be leveled from what little I played of it. So most everything in BC2 could be destroyed and it really changed the dynamics of the maps.

Metro is the unlocking map, that's all

You get too many fucking kills, too many fucking points, enough ribbons to tie 800 trees, level up like a motherfucker soldier and weapon wise

Then if you add in the insane 4 hour Operation Metro 1000% Tickets, Sweet Jesus!

The most points you make are during the third set of MCOMS

The escalator and the subway steps area are fucking clusterfucks of extreme porportions
So many launchers, grenades, sniper shots being fired off, it's amazing how some survive and make the hallway of death towards the back MCOM, which you get mowed by snipers and LMG users that obliterate your crew

Also funny Assault class reviving you in the clusterfuck, so they can gain points and you earn a double death

IMO

Keep it simple, don't have 10,000 unlocks for all items, keep the battlefield balanced and in a sense equal.

It's why BC1 >>>>>>bc2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BF3

Were is it about skill and not what you have equipped.

Sadly, games were that happened are long gone.

I still love my Modern Combat. So many memories.

Not gonna happen I know (since it's against the battlefield philosophy), but if they include splitscreen modes they have the potential to destroy COD in sales

You'd be surprised. They are the sweatiest of sweaty try hards. They know all call outs for every map. Crazy teamwork.

Singleplayer:
• Admitted that the BF3 story could have been more.
• Campaign will be more character driven and emotional. Confidence in their skills in building multiplayer led them to spend more time into creating a good singleplayer story.
• NPCs will be more human. Right down to the smallest and simplest details of just watching you walk around etc.
• Cutscenes are acted out in a soundstage like in movies
None of these answer any criticisms of the BF3 single player that I'm aware of.

Did people really complain that it didn't have enough emotion? That the story should've been more?

What alternate universe informs the design of these single player campaigns?

Metro is my favorite map. I hated it at first, but the more I played it, the more I realized it is the map that requires the most skill and strategy to win at. But, admittedly, if you don't have the proper skill set and know the angles of attack well, it's just a meat grinder.

Watch, the 4 worst maps in BF3 will be the ones in the Second Assault DLC:

Metro
Canals
Ziba
Damavand

God, I hope not. Give us Kharg, Kisar, and Death Valley please.

Only way I'd want Metro back is if they made the tunnels pitch-black and require the use of flashlights and infrared to see.

Hopefully this is true and I can still get around 100fps in Ultra.

Yep. I prefer 64 player Canals deathmatch for it though.

Umm... Letters why are you quoting me, I've never said any of that lol

Glitch in the matrix?

• Maps can't be totally leveled, however, destruction is going to be more dramatic than BF3's and will be similar to BC2's destruction.
• They are considering bringing back the ability to destroy MCOMs by having structures and buildings fall on them, like BC2
• You can cut the power in the indoor parts of the maps and use the darkness and non functional elevators to your advantage

All of these are awesome.

All of these are awesome.

Not the second line

BFBC2 some maps just became tank sniping from the start point or so far away that it was hard to stop them

MCOMS got destroyed prematurely because shells/mortars destroyed the house MCOM was in

It would take the second/third set when defenders got aerial support to even the fucking odds

Metro returning. Ah, well, I'll guess I'll have to try and avoid it.

I like that it's bringing stuff from BF2 back.

I really liked that ability. They'll need to tweak it for sure but it made the destruction and objectives feel linked.

Can't remember a single M-COM in a destructible building that was worth defending in BC2. It takes away the entire arm-and-defend dynamic which is what Rush is all about.

I'd love to see Armored Shield come back, that's one of my favorite DLC maps. Kind of hard to find servers for it though, sadly.

I say allow it, but gives MCOMs health

An outrageous amount, that DOT is necessary, like 100 Tank Shells (whatever their damage amount is)
If you destroy the structure the MCOM was in, the MCOM drops 15-25% health, the rest you either grenade/rocket launcher/mine trap/bullets over time

I know we had this in BFBC2 if I remember correctly

Bleaugh. Character driven is fine, bad Company 1 was excellent. Emotional though? From DICE? It's going to be fucking awful.

I think Operation Metro would have been way better if there were either two more points on the map, one in the park and one outside the subway entrance, or they added another entry point in to the B flag on the left side if you're on the Americans. Make that point very difficult to hold in my opinion.

No it just means people know there will be enough fucking items to unlock, why not access to the fastest map that help you unlock all that shit ASAP

This isn't a GODDAMN MMO which needs fucking timesinks

We don't need to grind away like mad men to unlock scopes/flashlights/laser/bipods per weapon, not even the gun class, but per fucking weapon

Almost makes BF3 look like WOW

Level 40 Assault
Tier 2 AEK w/ Grenade Launcher + M203 Attachment
Defib Buff
Cross Bow (Fuck Health Packs!)
M911 w/ Flashlight

Looking for Squad - LFS

Will Heal if necessary, if no other Assault found with Heal Kit Buff

Invincible MCOM was one of the dumbest things they did.It was so much fun figuring out sneaky ways to attack it.

I remember a building crushing our stalwart MCOM in Bad Company 2 when the opposition had only 1 ticket left.

I remember when people were joking about Metro and how there would probably be a Back to Metro. Guess they weren't wrong there.

I agree and disagree. If you need such a map to unlock, there's something fundamentally wrong with the game itself. I think BF3 unlock system was broken is so many ways that I guess it was more acceptable to do so.

But I've recently played BF3 and I can tell you that Metro is still one of the most populated map. That's not even for unlocking anymore. That's just trying to boost stats or having mindless grinding.

BF4 shouldn't require this unless the unlock system is yet again broken.
