First ever DriveClub direct feed racing footage (GamesCom)

The lighting is probably a big factor. I think it's worth mentioning that all the footage from Gamescom is alpha code, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see some more little visual improvements by release (hopefully).

Looks great. Have we seen any footage with more than one car on the track? Is there a count out there somewhere that I may have missed?
I never drive from that view anymore so I can't really judge the car handling without trying it. I did like seeing the driver slide into walls though so hopefully it's more 'sim' than 'arcade'. I won't have shit for my sim setup until GT6/7 comes for the PS4.

Motorstorm and PR let you drive alittle bit before resetting you... I always wanted just a second longer to explore the drivable environment, but no.
I'd test how far I could go though.

I'm also curious about how much will they ask to upgrade the PS+ to the Full game. Hoping for a decent price. Is there even a "%" of how much is left out from the PS+ Version fellow GAFfers?

He's said that it's the same footage that they've already released except in a much higher quality. And when he was asked about night racing footage he said that they'll be sharing more footage over the next few weeks leading up to launch.

Amazed that I'm this interested in a driving game. I've enjoyed them from time to time (Burnout Paradise and played around with NFS:MW on my Vita), but never been very interested in playing one before this one.
I'm also intrigued that I'm actually giving consideration to a racing wheel. Although I think I'd mostly want the wheel if a HMD device (ie. Rift) ever comes out for PS4 so I can get the total immersive experience.

Do it! I bought my first racing wheel with force feedback when Dirt came out on PS3, best accessory purchase ever! Makes racing games soo much more fun and closer to the real thing.
And yes combined with something like Rift it must be even better
Evolution are in Runcorn though. In fact, I can drive to Runcorn in 20 minutes, I'm tempted to go and bang on the shutters.
Hopefully they upload it also on vimeo.com (very little compression), but I wouldn't mind Gamersyde

Developers create one of best looking games on PS4 which has 8 cores, modern gpu with techniques such as GI and each of those people spend a lot of time in industry and they all work on project that probably cost millions of $$$.
We wait days to see game without compression artifacts.
Your PR Rushy should just release footage using .3GP standard with resolution of 250x160 with mono sound only downloadable on your phone.
That would be even better than that Facebook video and would definitely help promote game.

I'm still stunned at how good this game looks. Better then the next 2 motorstorms imo. Although there's more variety in them.

Is there any car tuning in this game?
When you say you can get points for drifts / top speeds can we make basic changes like gear ratios or weight distribution? Or will certain cars be highlighted as better for those qualities?
