actually that would be a smart move to grab them, thats probably a instant 100k sales

As much as I'm not a fan of their work, I don't think you understand how popular (and thus expensive) they would be to acquire, just for 100k sales. Sure MS has the money, but it seems like a waste of a ton of money for a market they're generally not interested in.

anyone see any xbox one ads in NY?

Haven't seen one yet. Will update if I spot one.

Considering the amount of back peddeling they've been doing, it should be "Jump Ahead, Get Scared, and Jump Back"

People keep forgetting Sony hired a new ad agency this year, who were responsible for some Google Chrome ads. We have little to no idea how Sony's new marketing push will fare.

That commercial...Ugh. I can already watch TV, on my TV. And FF on the computer. Show it playing games, maybe? The point of a videogame console?

Saw this ad in ESPN and Rolling Stone magazines.

Admittedly, it is a pretty neat proposition for the millions of guys who get really into Fantasy football. You don't have to have multiple screens/games/tabs open all at once, it's all connected under one interface. The drawbacks are that it launches late in the season, and they'll have to do some work to convince these guys that it's worth $500.

Really wish they'd grab support for other fantasy leagues. If they supported ESPN, I'd be all over that come the Sunday after launch.

Again, yet another thing that makes me wonder what in hell are Microsoft going to offer us in Europe (and in fact, every country in the world apart from america).

We don't give a shit about the NFL, and cable integration is essentially useless here, if it even works at all. Hoping they don't use the same kind of advertising here in the UK, as it'll get them nowhere.

You know these NFl ads can be a double edged sword. On one end they appeal to football fans on the other hand they push away those kind of gamers who don't like sports. (the hardcore)

Exactly right. If I were Sony I would work with some company that already does fantasy football and try to create something equivalent for less than what Microsoft paid. But kudos to Microsoft for thinking about something like this. I'm in 7 (you heard me) fantasy leagues right now and that kind of person is rabid. They are likely to spend money because of that. We are a different breed altogether.

GAF be damned, "Jump Ahead" is good and so is MS marketing in general.

Next few months will be fun.

Three? Damn. I'm holding on to one PS4.
To sell pre-launch or right after?

Either or, whichever helps me cover my own PS4 purchase quickest (also have 3 of those on pre-order for resale)

If you live in Palms in Los Angeles there is an oddly placed mini billboard at Palms and Motor. You'll see it if you are driving east on Palms. I was driving so I couldn't' take a photo of it but here is Google streetview of the prime location next to a dry cleaners and ghetto looking sandwich shop?

lol I hate football, but because of the xbox one hype I'm watching the Broncos vs Ravens game.
Well you must have at least some interest in football. Otherwise that really doesn't make any sense. The ad is lrady out on the web if bags what u were excited for.

yes because you can't be 'hardcore' and like American football.

also I don't see how it would be beings you'd be watching a sports game to see this commercial, I haven't seen it on regular broadcasting.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I know the players, receivers, quarterbacks, linesmen, coaches and even the special teams people, but it's not exactly what I would classify as my favorite sport. I only really enjoy and look forward to watching football around playoff or superbowl time, but this thread alerted me to something going on tonight with football, and so I switched to the channel to see if I saw any Xbox One commercials, and, low and behold, Peyton Manning is playing the defending champs, and I love watching Peyton Manning in action. So here I am, watching football and it isn't even superbowl or playoff time, but what brought me to the game was Xbox One hype.

Truest of warriors, right here.

Would've done the same for the PS4. Truthfact. :p
