Fighting Games Weekly | Oct 14-20 | El gringo ganó todo

? Throwing a football correctly and throwing it like a professional are two ENTRELY SEPERATE THINGS. Sorry that any sports concepts are lost on you. But go ahead keep arguing, I wont be listening.

Football:

Action: I throw a football
Result: It gets to the target.

Action: Pro throws a football
Result: It gets to the target.

Fighting Game:

Action: Newbie does a fireball motion wrong
Result: Nothing happens

Action: Pro does a fireball motion
Result: Fireball comes out.

It is pretty straight forward. What you are missing is that you don't start playing or need to play football or fighting games against pros.

I prefer rolling motions to the directional stuff, and I started playing fighting games with MK.

I never had problems with motions on the ps2 pad. Maybe the shitty 8 year old 360 dpad is turning people sour, hehe.

Though I don't mind the mixed motions in 3d games. Maybe I just hate the Mk style of inputs, haha.

Fighting games are only as hard and as "obtuse" as the person you are playing against.

I feel like this happens to a degree with all 1v1 games aside from tcgs (due to rng, although over time it still evens out) aside from maybe Chess and Go. People get ladder anxiety in SC (afraid to play ranked matches) and just flat out don't play Quake. At least in fighting games the pain is over pretty quickly. You can get bodied for 10 minutes straight in Quake and know you lost the first minute into the match.

Yeah the newer pads are pretty bad... I learned how to do EWGF on a PS2 pad and for me at least it's one of the best D pads.

And yea Chicken Wing input is fucking bull shit.

When you throw a football, it reaches the target? Every time?
