Was anyone paying attention the talk about the Online modes?

It kinda sounded like there would only be exhibition and ranked match at launch.
I wasn't paying attention to what exhibition is, but I would guess player match?

Maybe I missed it, but it sounds like there won't be any quarter match or lobby mode at launch.

IS there another way to view it?

Question about Counter Breakers ( aka Bluffs ).

I am having a hard time understanding the order of the button inputs.

So let's say I do an opener. Do I do my auto double ( FP for example ) and then once I feel like the opponent has read the FP auto double and intends to break it, I then input the Counter Breaker Command ( MP + MK )?

So my button input would be:
Opener - > FP -> quickly MP + MK?

I assume I have to do an auto double before the Counter Breaker so that the opponent has something to read and break.

Sorry for the stupid question, it's just that during the EVO 2013 round table Ken Lobb said "Do an opener, then a bluff". So I am just not sure how this mechanic is implemented.

You can bluff whenever you want. Once you input the bluff command, there's a small window in which a counter breaker will execute if the opponent attempts a combo breaker. If I had to guess, I'd say the window is probably about 5-8 frames.

The only reason to do it after the FP input in your example is to let the opponent see the first hit of the FP auto-double, then bluff. As long as you input the bluff command before the opponent attempts to break, you're good.

I have a TON of gold left on my account.

Shadow Jago ONLY being available through a 12 month card pisses me off...ugh.

It's the first negative thing or feeling I've had for the game. I absolutely can't wait to play it...can I stomach missing a character....:(

He's not exclusive forever. I believe the day one Live bx says Jan or Feb, so after that I assume you'll be able to buy him.

Oh! I think I get it now. Thank you VERY much!

Just got done playing the Sadira build.

She's fun and gimmicky. Her punch spin move is -4, -4, -5 (LP,MP,HP) and unpunishable. HP version gives big knockback so you can't jab her afterwards.

The big thing I found out is that the classic Killer Cut tracks are unlockable and you can use them
in training mode and it gives you a painting of the original stage it was featured on
. We unlocked Just a Feeling and it's literally the same track. Didn't get a chance to see if you can use these in Vs.

BTW, took me forever to figure out Sadira's instinct web move. It's literally the instinct buttons again to call it, can have one at a time out, and it destroyable by hitboxes.

Good info. A pretty plain advancement move, but seems to have good features, and isn't as overly punishable as it could be.

This painting is a skin for the background of training mode, or a player profile card? Or a viewable piece in the gallery?

They kept suggesting it appears when she double jumps, but this makes much more sense. The way she can set those things up looks so dangerous. It doesn't really seem to have hitstun on block, but it's still a great way to put people on notice, and keep them from countering her. Good find / explanation!

Tanks for Infoz!

Sad to hear that online is only 1v1 for both ranked and exhibition. Having a lobby system would be really nice for playing with multiple friends. I understand they are really being pushed to hit the 22nd deadline, and having good core mechanics and quality netcode is more important than a lobby system. I just really hope they add it.

With Shadow Jago being differentiated in the future from regular Jago that puts him in the "promised characters" category for me with Spinal and Fulgor. It's not a big deal, but now they are in essence promising 3 characters in the future. I am going to make the purchasing decision based on whats released on day one. If I chose not to buy it I will revisit it when the other characters are released, or when more features, like lobbies for example, are added.

I do like the fact that I can purchase the different packages from in game as well as the store. It's a nice little touch that makes the purchasing process easier and faster.

Finally, I think it's really cool that they allow everyone to play online regardless if they have bought the full game or not. That is top notch on DH and MS behalf.

Contemplating if I'm going to pick up Day One Live since I just got a one year sub a few days ago that gave a free $20 XBL credit (going toward Crimson Dragon).

They will probably sell Shadow Jago to the public sometime next year. It's better to hold off and not pay full price for Live.

The game is really fun and has a deep meta game.
You got everything fighting games need in this.
Combos, breakers, baiting, mixups, crossups, cancelling normal attacks, frame traps, juggles, tech throws, counter breakers, punishes, 1 frame links, different play styles from the characters, Instinct mode for safe setups/escaping negative frames on blocked specials. The freedom of the combo system lets you make your combos as easy or as difficult as you want.
