December 2013 NPD (U.S. Hardware) Predictions - Closes January 13

Sony says: "According to NPD, PS4 remains the cumulative leader for next gen console sales in the U.S. since the launch on November 15."

Sony goes on to say "we were out of stock," but doesn't say PS4 outsold Xbox One in December.

I figured. So PS4 still maintains the lead even though it had supply issues? I'd say that's a win for Sony. Microsoft is still playing catch-up.

Xbone didn't break a million in December despite plenty of stock on the shelves?

$100 too much. If they launched at the same price this wouldn't be close.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Less than a million? Ok, then how could One have sold 3 millions WW? There's something a little fishy, maybe...

NPD: Xbox One and Xbox 360 were the top selling consoles for each generation in the US in December. 908k (Xbox One) and 643k (Xbox 360)

And with that my predictions were torpedoed :p

Hopefully I can still pull off a top 20 finish for the year. I have a 5 spot cushion.

EDIT: I guess, PS4 could be 850k or something, which wouldn't be too bad for my predicted units. However, those points for the correct order will be sadly missed.

Well done to MS on beating Sony in the US with $100 higher price point and a weaker machine. PS4 was severely understocked in the US, though.
I'm enjoying my Xbox One very much.
