Shame if true, this game is right up their alley.
Well, I guess I'll cross my fingers for Ignition then. They seem crazy/sane enough to do it.

Highly likely.louis89 said:What are the chances of this being playable at TGS?

I like this, looks like a miner, completely out of place.

It's definitely overpriced but really fun.archnemesis said:![]()
It's a popular game from the mid-80s. There's also a way overpriced HD version on the Japanese PSN store.
Isn't it fondly regarded as the worst Famicom/NES game?archnemesis said:It's a popular game from the mid-80s.

I totally agree. Lowering the details and cranking up the AA/shadows/effects can have a pretty positive effect on a few PC games (what with the extra frames you'll get along with it). Lego Quake (Q3 up to QW) comes to mind, for example.Onix said:One thing I've noticed over the years since we've moved to 3D ... lighting and shadow effects look far more impressive when using 'simple' assets. This delta is particularly notable when comparing something with complex textures versus something without.

You can create your very own main character using a block level editor with maximum dimensions of 16 x 16 x 16. In addition to creating your character form scratch, you can use one of the preset character classes as a base.
In the above edit screen shot, the controls are listed as follows:
L2/R2: Change pose
L1/R1: Bring up the menu
D-pad: Move the pointer
Circle: place a block
X: I think this lets you clear a block
L: move camera/rotate
R: Zoom in/out
Circle + D-pad: Change pointer size
R2 + D-pad: Move blocks
SELECT: Clear all
At the top, you can select a pose for your creation: standing, walk 1, walk 2, "banzai," and sword out.
You're not limited to the presets in the palette. Pressing square lets you adjust the colors.
Outside of character customization at the start of the game, you can also customize your character's weapon as you progress. Gold that you earn from defeated foes can be used at the town's blacksmith to customize your weapon in seven areas, including length, size, attack strength, long distance attack strength, rotation degree, and piercing strength.
So does that mean the characters do have the two frame walking animation like old RPGs?At the top, you can select a pose for your creation: standing, walk 1, walk 2, "banzai," and sword out.

It's like they are recreating the zelda map.
Castle in the foreground and the brown valley in the back.

I can't believe we've only had screenshots so far. Can't wait for TGS.
