$99 New 3DS Black Friday Deal

Starting to regret pulling the trigger on the toys r us deal so early. Has anyone who ordered it from there received info besides "item located in stock?" Or is this just their modus operandi?

Am I just worrying too much? :-/

You probably won't get years and years of new games, but you do have years and years of a backlog to work through of great games.
 
The TN vs IPS thing is kind of irrelevant in the case of the Mario Edition because the things are so limited in the first place. If you happen to get one or both IPS then consider yourself a lottery winner. The difference is only significant at far angles that you'd never be playing at anyway and the 3D wash is marginal.
 
I'm a little salty seeing all the people getting their amazon orders shipped over the weekend. I placed mine when the first pre orders went up for a black and a white one, and even with Prime it says delivery on Tuesday 😑

Same exact situation. I pre-ordered mine literally a minute after they went live so I'm not sure how people are getting theirs faster.

I live 40mins from the warehouse.

Now im considering popping in the car and driving to Target which has a charger in stock for $8 and I'll just return the Amazon one.. urgh.. decisions

I got one from Walmart today, even with their free shipping option.

I did free non-prime shipping on the first day... It'll be here any minute. I'm sorry.
 
I'm looking to buy any color preferably black from anyone who bought an extra.

I bought one for myself and I asked my little cousin to lend me his charger. As soon as he saw it he got so excited that I bought one and he told me he wanted one too. I told him they were hard to find and that he could have mine but he's so good he kept refusing. He agreed only if I took his XL. So that's where I'm at. I'll have an XL in not great condition but I really would prefer the smaller one. I'd really appreciate it. I've been a regular at the BST thread so you can see that I've always given out good deals and generally try to do good by this community. Thanks!
 
My amazon ordered of the black new 3DS arrived this morning at 9:30!

Everything seems good with the system. It definitely has the TN screens, but whatever I'll live. The joy stick also seems a little "scratchy" for lack of a better word but I'll need to play more to really see.

If the Target actually has what you want in stock at this point you might as well go for it, right? You might even have time to just cancel the Amazon order before it ships

So can anyone tell me the difference in the screens? I'm seeing people post about TN screen and another type but don't know what the differences are. Is it a huge deal?
 
Amazon pre-order arrived today. Anybody know how to set up a second 3DS with the same network ID? If that's even possible. Nintendo always seems so goofy with account management so I don't want to mess this up.

IPS screens have much wider viewing angles and more saturated colors. Personally, its noticable but in the end don't fret over it. Only a few specific models of n3DS had IPS, your chances here are minuscule.

Also, TN panels have the benefit of a slightly better response time!

Just happened to go to Walmart to buy some unrelated house items, strolled over to the game section and there were still over 5 of the black ones left. My temptation finally won and bought Pokemon Sun and Majoras Mask lol

I don't think you can have the same NNID on more than one 3DS (I could be wrong). I think you need to either do a system transfer or unlink ID from first one then link it to the other.

I got that status once at TRU. I ordered the NES Classic for store pick-up and the order status said 'item located in stock' but it didn't change for another 2 weeks before it was cancelled altogether. So take that for you what you will.

It can take the 256GB microSDs too if they are formatted to FAT32
 
Man mine from amazon still says not shipped and its supposed to arrive on Tuesday with prime delivery. I'm beginning to doubt i'm getting it now.

You will. It sounds like you guys never ordered from Amazon before. Even with free non-prime shipping sometimes my orders don't ship until one day before the delivery estimate and they still get there on time.
