Battlefield Bad Company beta coming (360)

Yeah, I think that's the map I'm on now.
The bronzed desert.

The beta was probably for testing the capacity on their own dedicated servers. Setting up player servers is something they can to at their offices. But sure, it would be nice with both.
 
From what I played I was pretty turned off.
I think I'm gonna check back in on it in a week or two and see if things are a little more manageable.

The one good thing I do have to say about it, is the rumble kicks ass!
It's not hard and fast like most games, but it's slow and forceful. :D

Specially when there was next to none single player mode, BF scores are often ""low"" scores for that. Not that I defend it though, I didn't like it much. Thought it had much less than 80%.
 
FYI...that 80% average score is for the Xbox version, not the Xbox 360. Not sure why you linked to that when the boxart you linked to is the Xbox 360 ver.

Most people who claim MC is good haven't played any of the real BF's on PC.

Bad Company:

a) Similar to Battlefield 1942
b) Similar to Battlefield 2 (PC)
c) Similar to Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (consoles)
d) Similar to Battlefield: Vietnam

Which is the correct answer?

I'd say B, least C. I don't find it anyway close to MC. Hard to say D as there hasn't been any real maps anywhere close to Vietnam. Or yes, maybe the cloudy maps is a little bit similar to one of the city maps in Vietnam. Anyway, it's close to BF2, but with enhancements.
 
has anyone played with some of the DICE team because i was getting my ass kicked by some suspect Gamer tags?
Over all i really like this game Day one for me!
 
Still can't get into any games. It either stays on searching for game forever or it says joining game and then kicks me back to the MP menu. :(

Alright, that sounds good to me.


In defense of what I said earlier:

Modern Combat really isn't that bad of a game, but I was a big fan of Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 for the PC before I played Modern Combat.

Needless to say, the Xbox360 version, which is basically a port of the Xbox version, was pretty stripped down compared to the PC versions, which is why it was "trash" to me.



However... if BC is like BF2, then that sounds great.

Battlefield: Bad Servers

ps: The sound in the game is incredible. And for those complaining about the dialog (maybe it was a different forum) you can turn it off in the sound options. I don't mind it though after playing so much CoD4, I'm used to that, lol.
 
jesus christ, is there a parachute button I don't know about? How can I exit a helicopter in mdi-air?

I loved BF2, every one of the PC games. I couldn't stand MC personally, I tried the Xbox version and owned the X360 version. It just felt so non-BF and more something else. I absolutely think this game is going back to the PC roots, but in the same time, there are some "enhancements" that PC-BF people may or may not like.

I can capture video for Gamersyde any minute, the problem is that it would be sucky for the guys getting their gamertags put online. And I still don't know if that's even allowed, capturing images/videos. There are official trailers for the clody city map though.

I dont give a shit about pc gaming so the correct answer is MC. After more play bad company is starting to grow on me. I just hope to god they include the original mode. FYI I havent had much trouble getting into games. Usually have to click join match 3 or 4 times and it works.
 
Wow...I really wish I could play this right now. Like many others, I get caught at the searching for game screen or it boots me back to main menu. I doubt DICE was expecting people to burn the game and overload the servers.
