I expect to get burned on a lot of these, but there are worse things in life than being wrong on a message board. As such:
- The Last Guardian will get an E3 announcement that it's on PS4...and that's it. No release date or any other info for the rest of the year. Still, as if one's crush in high school smiles at you when you ask to borrow their pen, the mere presence of the game will be enough to break open the Banderas GIF flood-gates.
- Playstation Now will only launch in the US and select EU countries first, following a similar track to the PS4 launch. It will be a terrible value due to high price and spotty performance, and thus not catch in a big way until 2015 and beyond.
- PS4 will have a massive launch in Japan, and reinvigorate Japanese console development in a big way. The sales will just be decent between the first few weeks and the fall, though, as it'll catch devs over there off guard.
- Uncharted on PS4 will have stellar graphics, but will go over as well as 3 did once the next-gen Naughty Dog euphoria wears off. Take that as you will.
- Thief, like Tomb Raider, will be a great game hated by it's old fanbase for being too different from the original series. I also expect it to sell well and fall short of SE's projections anyway.
- GTAV and TLOU will have PS4 versions announced, with the former released either at the end of 2014 or early 2015.
- The PS4 won't manage more than a slight lead over the Xone in the States for the year, regardless of what comes out for either console. (It will completely annihilate the Xone everywhere else, though.)
