Call of Duty: Black Ops III Beta Thread [PC/Xbone now up!]

I really don't want to upgrade my GTX 670 just yet, but this beta will be my deciding factor.

The last two Call of Duty games haven't been so great in performance and couldn't do high settings at all.

So we'll see how good this game runs on my PC.

Edit: I have the game pre-ordered on Amazon, and I remember receiving their code.

The code you get from Amazon, etc... Is not the beta code. You have to redeem that code on COD.com to enter into the beta. Just wanted to post that reminder so people aren't scrambling come Wednesday.

I did this all back during e3. I seriously can't remember if I put that code into the BO3 website.

There is surely a way to find out, right?

Just preordered on amazon and got signed up for the beta. Signed up for the ps4 beta, but really can't wait to check out the PC beta. Game looks really awesome.

Can we customize faces or they'll all look the same in multiplayer match?

Frankly I was quite disappointed with another futurist setting during the reveal but somehow we're at this point and it's looking mighty fine, this might bring me back into the fold, especially when they're treating the pc version with love.

The atvi account/beta page refuses to send me emails, and after trying to change my address, locked me out of my account.

Odds of getting this fixed through atvi support before the beta is over: 0

Probably the most important part about getting into the beta. Surprised it wasn't in the OP. Maybe I missed it but I looked a couple times.

Redeemed my code for XBO. Definitely interested to give this one a shot. I'm intrigued by it being a Treyarch game and actually getting a beta.

Wait a second, they said the e-mails with download codes would be sent on a "rolling basis." So how many waves of e-mails will be sent out and how far apart? Does that indicate that not everyone will be playing Day 1 on their respective platforms?

That seems really late for Amazon. My code came in about a day. Might be able to just talk them into giving you one.

I remember receving the token and redeeming it on beta site. I found no way to confirm it. However, I received email form few days ago statng:

The Call of Duty®: Black Ops 3 Beta is almost here. You'll be among the first to experience the all-new movement system, new Specialist classes, seven game modes, and three new unique maps - Hunted, Combine, and Evac.

I guess this confirms, I'm in the beta (?).

Yeah, can't login on the beta page when I click on the Playstation icon. It gives me an error in a different language.

It's probably a matter of an automated system rolling through all the registered emails and sending out the codes, nothing specific about the order they're sent.

There's some serious issues with their website and accounts. I can't login any more to even try and attach my steam account, and when I try to reset the password, I never get the password reset email...

probably a really good idea. I'd imagine if everybody got their code all at once it'd be hit harder than it's going to be as it is now.

So you make classes just like any other CoD. Weapons, perks, killstreaks, you name it. Then, you choose a specialization class (premade character) to use your weapon class with.

So for example: I have a class with my SMG, laser sight, suppressor, three perks, three killstreaks, and some grenades. Then I choose which of the specialists I want to use for the match. So the specialist can equip any of the "Create a Class" classes you create, but also come with one of two unique abilities to that particular specialist.

Really sucks that their is no pre-loading. The Beta is already on their servers, and peeking at some CoD Youtubers tweets, they're already downloading it now (SSSniperWolf, Chaos, Pamaj, Drift0r). I'm sure it isn't locked either which means instant play as soon as the beta finishes downloading.

Do you still have the the code in your e-mail? Try it on the beta website. If it works then great, if not, also great, because you were already good to go.

Get on BF4
