Interesting.

I would love to see a third person halo by the way.

I've always appreciated Halo not being afraid to mix up the perspective. I know that's not the same as what you're asking for, but I wouldn't mind seeing another weapon or vehicle that shifts us into third person. Maybe even with the possibility of crouching.

While this is good for the development of the game, this must also be looked at negatively in that 343i is massively incompetent to butcher a tentpole franchise like this.

Bring in whatever additional help is needed from other 1st party developers but make changes at the top in 343Industries.

It's fucking criminal how this game has become a full blown joke/meme.

343 needs a complete leadership change after infinite launches.

Get it finished, then a full shake up.

My guess is MS will clean house after the game ships. Staten will likely get a much bigger role in the studio I bet...

I can't see 343i carrying on with Halo after this and the issues with MCC, they've had their chances and blew it.

Bungie did just open up a new Studio......

Are you implying that Bungie will get another shot at Halo?

I think that door is closed.

But personally I think Halo Infinite will be awesome, the gameplay always looked great, the game just got caught up in the insane nextgen hype, with a graphics boost is should be fine.

I will bloody well hope so. Giving a veteran more creative control can only be a good idea. He's worked no many successful iterations of Halo in the past so what could go wrong with him at the helm.

Just get rid of the maggots currently running 343.

they dont know wat they r doing to this series , they r not sure , not confident , imo microsoft should have made a deal with bungie and let them handle it
Should have bought Bungie when they had the chance but you also can't limit a studio to one IP forever. Sooner or later they're going to have to take Halo out to the back of the shed and off it.

I thought I reas this months ago.
Also, as worried as I am about the campaign, I still play Halo 5 Warzone, so I still have high expectations for the MP.

Coalition made good games, 343 - Halo 4 and 5

Halo 4 is the best campaign in the Halo franchise.

Story is incredible, Master Chief is more badass, more heroic than I've ever seen him, he is more human, he has more depth, this is the version of Master chief you read about in Halo: First Strike by Eric Nylund. Cortana's portrayal, the relationship with the Chief, the way it expertly involved the lore from the books and extended universe, the Didact as an enemy, the unbelievable production values and incredible gameplay pacing. I don't think anything in the franchise tops it.

It rescued the Halo franchise as far as I'm concerned, which was growing stale, and I felt was in trouble after Halo 3, ODST and Reach, and to this day it remains the bar to be topped by any future effort. A lot of people pretend to be Halo fans now, but I've read this forum and seen the same comments crapping on Halo when even Bungie were on it. It wasn't really until 343 came onboard that all of a sudden, to attack the new Halo studio and to crap on the Halo franchise, that suddenly the rose colored lenses were adopted regarding what people were saying about most recent Halo games. None of the Halo games were terrible games, but they were to me severely falling off in delivering on the potential of their story universe, and just didn't deliver that excitement I felt was warranted of Halo. I was hyped before release of every Halo title, and enjoyed them in my own way, but after the fact I just felt like it needed to be better. Halo 4 delivered that. Halo 5 was good, I enjoyed it, but the story had a lot of unmet potential, it felt abrupt, like it was a transition before something else bigger. I liked a lot of the ideas it tried though, especially bringing in Blue Team, and I don't have any issues at all with Fireteam Osiris. Wasn't quite as epic as the hunt the truth podcasts though admittedly.

One of Xbox's best studios helping one of its worst studios.

There, I fixed it for you.

Sure buddy. Halo 5 boasts the best feeling gameplay the Halo franchise has ever seen. They made 60fps a priority for Halo for the first time on consoles and fucking nailed it! That shit felt GREAT to play. Halo 4 is the best overall campaign the franchise has ever had, and the one with the best overall story, the best depiction of Master Chief, the best portrayal of Cortana, the best integration of the lore, and the one that did the best job of making you BELIEVE you were Master Chief. They're a very technically gifted studio and have never fallen flat on amazing production value or great feeling gameplay imo.

They do a fantastic job with optimization also. Their games always run very well while also being quite beautiful, but to a warrior such as yourself they're supposedly the worst developer Microsoft has? I'm laughing. They're easily among the best Microsoft has, and one of the best developers in the business period, and their output proves it. Halo Master Chief Collection, despite some hiccups and hate, is also an amazing undertaking that they've pulled together incredibly. This stupid mob rule bs that is used to throw dirt on a talented developer is the kind of crap that I just brush aside. Anybody claiming 343 is a bad or terrible developer is a fanboy, and can not/should not be taken seriously even a tiny bit.

There are no rose-tinted googles, MCC is out people have played the old games recently and they hold up amazingly. As far as Halo 4 is concerned there's a decent amount of the fanbase that like the story but all the hate it gets for its gameplay is rightfully deserved. It has the worst enemy AI in the series and the most linear levels with the worst enemy design in the series. Not to mention gunplay is terribly unbalanced with weapons running out of ammo before even one encounter is done and all vehicle sections amount to driving down a linear path. To this day 343 has never made a Halo campaign with good gameplay.

Coalition also helped with Perfect Dark. Coalition/Turn 10 help with a lot of Xbox projects just like id Tech helps other Zenimax studios with their projects. Also I enjoyed Halo 4 more than anything Coalition has made.
Edit : I just realized the guy is a contract worker.

Honestly just get rid of 343. You built a shitty studio based on diversity over talent. Now these morons need all these other studios to help them out. What a waste of resources for trying to be "diverse".
They're hardly 'shitty' and it's completely normal to draft in other studios help from within your group or even outside . I think its nothing to with diversity and more do to with the game looking like an Xbox One X game and now the team are totally redoing everything.
The gameplay shown in Halo Infinite looked pure HALO and brilliant along with the music
