The story sets up the defense of the cops nicely.
Why would you ever freaking pull a gun in the presence of cops. Why why why. If it's what happened, god dammit.
Because 13 years of being alive is not long enough to make informed decisions while under stress. That's why 13 year olds can't drive. That's why you can't fuck 13 year olds. That's why they aren't able to own real guns.
But they can look amazingly like adults, can't they? In the heat of the moment, they can looked like armed perps, especially when brandishing a bb gun.
Why the fuck do I go into threads like this? All it does is piss me off. I consciously am aware that not all cops are gunning to kill anyone with dark skin, but c'mom man. I read this shit every week. Every week. I read from assholes who tell me that the person of color who was killed shouldn't have done this or that to deserve getting shot. How about not using a god dammed gun to pacify the fucking situation???
I'm not doing these "person of color gets brutalized by cops" t. hreads anymore. It does things to me that I don't like. I don't like feeling this concoction of rage, sadness, fear and helplessness. I legit have tinfoil hat moments where I feel that folks around me tolerate me only because they have to, because otherwise they'd be more than happy to get rid of yet another darkie whose taking up a job and a house that could be filled by a respectable white guy. I just need to give a cop a reason when he's having a bad day.
Sorry for the rant. Let's wait and get more information before we jump to... whatever. I'm out.
