I think I will enhance a Luneth, because why not. As for the banner...not sure about it, I was originally planning on skipping it as I have Ramza, and planned on pulling a Roy later anyway. How are the TMs? I know Lunera has a bow so that's useless, what about the others?

Runera post-enhancements is pretty wild. I wouldn't write her off. That's a lot of MAG backing her 720% 30-hit ability. Split element should mean your chain builds twice as fast as well, right? Not that you're likely to be bringing her as a friend unit by the time enhancements drop, I guess. She honestly seems better than Ramza to me. I'd gladly sacrifice 10% stats for more HP/MP and the ability to output some actual damage.

Blanc's TM is +20% ATK/+30% MP/+30% lightning resist.
Helena's is an accessory that gives 50% LB gain and 5% auto-refresh.
Ruggles is a 108 ATK earth element hammer.

The HP/MP on +2 doesn't change, only the stat buffs. They're going to obsolete the primary selling point of the GL exclusive they released one week prior? This isn't Orlandeau -> Fryevia. Orlandeau is still relevant. If you pull Runera and she has +2, Zargabaath is entirely pointless. And he was not exactly warmly received to begin with.

The stat buff is quite significant. A gaffer (Lyrian i think), theorized about it as a foreshadowing, that the singing meta is coming soon. Zarg is just there to open the door.

Gumi's selling point this time is, since everyone was asking for an even harder trial, Here's Aigaion who's gonna fuck up 90% of the player base.

But, Gumi's perfect timing for a Lunera banner with her +2 song will make us pull hard for her. Almost every Aigaion video I saw on youtube required an enhanced Ramza (own or friend) to beat.

This is exactly why I skipped pulling for Zarg and went for Tidus a few posts above, without even knowing Lunera was coming. When they mentioned Aigaion, it's only a matter of time before the singers are released in full force.

Zarg will still be great, why do you think Lunera will make him obsolete? Just because the +2 song stat buff is higher than his own buff? Zarg's kit is unique that he can fit in any team.

The players that are dissing Zarg are the whales and dolphins who's got all specialist unit in the game that they don't really need him. But for the f2p and minnows, he's a great utility unit. He isn't going extinct.

I could see Ramza slotting in between Lunera and Roy (in the release schedule). Then it's a 10% increase for each of them, and you can tempt Ramza owners to pull for that little bit extra.

CG Jake looks weird. How much later does S2 take place? I barely recognized him except for the hair color. Utility-wise I'm interested in all the S2 characters, particularly Lid and Nichol. Both of them were the worst story characters, but with the incredible upgrtades the CG characters have been getting Lid could become Eileen on steroids and Nichol could rewrite the buffing meta.

I feel ya man, for a good while I also didn't have a Cecil or a WoL, but Charlotte was there for me... She struggled to find a spot on anyone's team as it was, but giving Cecil his 6* hurt her stock... Now you have better options all around and her shine was very lackluster ; ;. I'd have to go back through a billion messages, but I wonder when the evade meta started? I know I made a post between cecil/wol/noctis way back then...

How is Zarg becoming pointless all of a sudden? People need to learn to build their own team. I think gumi has done a great job making different have good diversity in their respective roles. The singing buffs will be great, but not everybody needs extra healing (Tillith full heal) or extra mana (lots of options now).

So you're kinda stuck with a unit that gives a big buff and does nothing else. Not that it's bad, but it can certainly be less useful than a unit that gives a pretty good buff, ailment resists, elemental resists, fullly heals somebody if their healer has to rez, restore 50% mana to somebody, do the AOE heal with mp regen with Tillith and fully heal her + 50% of her mp, has 2 ways to reduce damage by 20% or 30%, do a bit of extra damage if needed, slap on Rikku's pouch on him to AOE cure ailments..

Oh yeah he also has super high hp and def and can resist death once.

Sooo yeah.. don't want to sound like the Zarg defense force lol, but I really don't understand the hate and he's everything but pointless even if other very good support units are coming

He has sooo many tools... I tried the recent trials with him and even when screwing up, i could come back from my mistakes every time.

So yeah, everybody needs to learn how to make a strong team. Every hyped up units don't necessarily fit in every team.

cannot help you there, unless you want an incredible aileen which is not even 5* maxed XD
she's sporting artisan+gungnir, dual wield, 3* shine atk 30%, black cowl and monster breastplate, max potted etc etc..
BUT she has soooo few hp it's not even funny XD

btw anyone has an aileen build for mid tmr farm and heavy tmr farm?

I was planning on Enhancing my Two DKCs eventually for my Dark Team (DKC, DKC, Dark Veritas, Elza, Ramza)... lol But I'm not ready yet!. I only have 4 Power G-Crysts (3 more from event) and won't be able to get the Soul Eater +2 (need 12) unless I get really lucky in the vortex. But we'll see... I should be able to max out his Dark Cannon and Absolute Dark and get Soul Eater to +1 though.

Not touching Cecil or Exdeath though since WoL replaces him and never used Exdeath.

I also have two deathbringers and dualwield. Let me know if there's anything you want on him. No Doublehand though. Never farmed it yet.

Enhancements drop Friday?

There are enough people saying 'Zargabaath is good!' and 'Lunera is coming at +2!' that I'm at the point where I'm thinking maybe I'm wrong about both of them. I'll keep my trap shut until Nazta's datamine drops.

Just one thing though - I don't believe old content is a meaningful gauge for a unit's viability. New content is. Aigaion may validate Zarg, or not. Maybe he'll be secret OP crazy on Bloody Moon. But just listing random hypothetical interactions doesn't count for much - I did the same thing the other day and I realized later how pointless it is.

The way Luneth's enhancements work is Cut Through gains an extra 175% (which is really 350% due to the ignore 50% defense...) damage if you used Advance the turn before. Since you're using Advance for that purpose anyway, you probably want the free 200% attack you gain from Advance+1 at least? +2 you could safely hold off on. Then again, damage outside of a chain isn't always that relevant. I see where you're coming from...

Yep, Aigaion's Arm (145 ATK) and Knuckle Mastery (+50% ATK with Knuckle) are from this next trial.
But it's reaaaally hard and just impossible without some sort of AoE MP heal/regen.

I would have preferred the 2500 coins for 5 € from last year haha. Due to a bug it was possible to buy it twice, so i bought it twice and gently forced two buddys to buy it also 15000 coins for 30 euro...sadly only one luneth and a rainbow duanne and arc from it haha.

That is the build I've just changed to after beating dark beasts haha. I don't have Fohlen but black cowl is fine. With Wisdom, a bracer, and the ifrit's claw I just got her HP is just over 6700.

And yeah Ruler Rings will be fine with your current equip. Ifrits claw is also good for the HP even though it's not as high as a bracer.

4x Shines are a must for 100% evade build on WoL and Zargabaath (in his case he doesn't need 4). There will be other options soon to achieve that but right its either Shine or Cyan.

So it's not even all about the ATK.

There's more or less 3 options. You can put non-elemental gear on your physical team and do the regular chaining. He resists physical but a strong enough team can do it. If you have enough strong mages you can also non-elemental him with meteor/ultima/chaos wave. Or you can play the way the designers intended and take advantage of his shifting weaknesses. He uses the opposite of the element he is currently weak to, and shifts between fire, ice, water, and lightning. Take someone that can provide elemental resist, and Tilith (if you have her) is super nice for the press attack that takes 99% hp off of everyone.

Tidus IMO isn't that great right now. Like at all. (I should say isn't that great if you already have killer units) But his enchantments are one of the biggest jumps in power I've seen for any unit. So, getting TIdus is kinda like future proofing yourself.

Tidus is awesome, man. I pulled hard for him and he's been great on my team. However, if you have a great team already, then you may not need him, but honestly, that's probably true for any character at this point.

I'm not saving for 2B, but damn, I wish I would wait a bit longer before they add them to the game so people have a chance to restock resources (tickets and the like). I shouldn't have burned the 3 tickets I got on this current banner, but I didn't know we were going to be getting the Nier banner so soon.

Tough decision to make, but I do have Tilith. She's not really geared up or ready for primetime, I think. I do have Dark Fina and 6* Terra, which should be able to get the job done, but I'm wondering if I should just go in with Olandu, Tidus, Noctis, Minfilia, and Y'shtola and just try to take it out that way. Or maybe trade Minfilia for Rikku and see how that goes.
