US and UK is where it's at.
Microsoft are very aggressive in their pricing. I expect MS to take the lead in the US and UK if Sony stays the same. The price cuts and bundles are working for them.
And remember, US and UK are the most important markets and if those are won, we're pretty much at the same level as last gen, which is not that good news for Sony.
Germany, Spain, France and even Japan are more like "filler" markets, they're not that important for 3rd parties. US and UK is where it's at.
People are still expecting the X1 to come out of this Gen with the most sold Consoles? This is very wishful thinking.
Yeah, thanks. 1.2 million PS4 vs 318k PS3s in its first year. The market growth is real.
Sony are matching MS well in the UK. For some reason SCEA are less aggressively defending the US - maybe they don't have the stock to cover an increase I demand, or maybe they didn't have the budget allocated to allow them to compete for the whole of November?

Give it some time, reality will sink in. It happened with the WiiU, it will happen with the X1.
They really don't, they didn't even advertise Halo.
And I can't wait until it does because there is no rational conversation to be had with someone who thinks that Xbox One will be propelled in front of PS4 worldwide. It's awful seeing how out of touch with reality some people are.

Where's The Real Kevin Dent to tell me why this doesn't matter and it's probably all lies anyway.
Does it usually take this long, though?Give it some time, reality will sink in. It happened with the WiiU, it will happen with the X1.
Exactly. It must feel amazing for Sony to get all this sweet subscription money they only heard about last gen and force microsoft to go all out only to stay in the competition on their home market while the rest of the world is owned. plus, they did all that without even having released their best/biggest games and morpheus still the dark horse approaching. So I think in Sony's eyes, they want to take as much of NA as they can, while still retaining maximum profitability. So don't expect the extrme bundles and pricecuts you see from MS.

Law of averages says bulk of core Xbox fans will be in US. MS is going to put more effort into US than any other market and will look credible there (as per November NPD). Many US fans see US as defining global trends.Does it usually take this long, though?

Point taken, this is why I put up that disclaimer. But what you can see from XB1 numbers, which should be correct, is that there is no significant Q4 bump at all. This is bad. They sold 100k until January. And in the following 10 month only 170k. Even with really great deals. It's this in real life:
Personally my view is it's already obvious that even if MS does take lead in US it will remain in second place worldwide.
Too bad Germany doesn't have a Black Friday Microsoft can give away the console with 4 free games.
this is why Europe is Sonyland.
Btw that 4.4 : 1 ratio is even worse in southern Europe countries like Italy, Spain, Portugal
Maybe he meant stores, not markets...Well :

Since one of our insider said all PS4s fell of a cliff probably NZ.
Where, Aaron?
Of course they are. They'll continue to burn cash to keep up just as they always have. It's a good thing MS made bank on their OS monopoly for decades otherwise they'd have gone the way of Atari and 3D0 in this space, meanwhile Sony and Nintendo fight the good fight.
Fake Major Nelson account.WTF is this?
China. Ya'll always forget China.

What do you expect him to say? Actually though? You think he is going to say something negative or do you expect him to be the lone honest person admitting they are getting their ass kicked?

You haven't to lie at all cost. There are tons of way to circle around the matter like say actually we lead US/Uk the biggest market in the west and so on. Surely answer like a childish fanboy spit out nonsense it's frightening. How many money gains this man for his job? And still he act like a teenager in his pr, most of the time. It's discouraging see so much incompetence. What do you expect him to say? Actually though? I don't understand how it makes business sense to throw money away for over ten years to never come out on top. Surely someone at Microsoft can see this is not logical.

[Anecdotal and semi-confirmed by data from several countries] - Rest of Europe has same or worse sales ratios for Xbone, except UK
