Perusing a thread with a lot of gifs, while not exactly pleasant, wasn't too much hassle. It's when I would visit my Google+ photo album where I store hundreds of gifs that I would experience absolutely soul-crushing slowdown. Nothing would load properly, couldn't scroll anywhere and sometimes, the whole page would go blank if I left the tab so I could do something else while waiting.

Now I can actually navigate the page and it still stutters a bit while loading (because it's rendering a preview of every single gif), but I can actually scroll and interact with things.

Please, stay this way!

Thanks for the heads up. A month or two ago I finally gave in and switched to Firefox, which feels janky as hell compared to chrome but could at least handle loading pages properly. Time to switch back to my Google overlords.
