Because one doesn't require physics, AI, the entire track and 15 other cars and only runs at 30 FPS, which allows for ray tracing in the garage, and the other does require physics, AI, the entire track, 15 other cars and runs at 60 FPS, which doesnt allow for ray tracing.

I thinkl there should be a Gran Turismo 5 dictionary where most terms have god included into them. There's no words, 16 best looking ever car models on track that looks pretty much photorealistic itself. Now they only need to include the AI model and we're ready to go.

Don't I remember correctly when 3 techies were impressed that they could get 3 ps3's runing a ray traced car... It thus cannot be real raytracing.

GT3 was also a pack in. Three or four million max, I just don't see it with the current rate the install base is coming along.

looks greatl, but needs more anti-alliasing. Backgrounds need work too. Cars look fantastic though. Thing is, they pretty much look exactly like in the showcase vids that have been released

the lighting in and outside of the cockpit looks unreal. also, the meters' needles actually moving is a nice touch. but does anyone notice how the shadows are a bit weird? they're very jaggie at times.

blim, is the stream supposed to be muted? i can't hear anything.

It's pretty much impossible to get any sound from a game in the middle of a game show unfortunately.
