Those mother fuckers know how to make a racing game.
So again, stating facts is trolling? Not my fault that you're triggered by gts going in the bargain bin shortly after launch.
You've been a busy man!Thanks.
I had one more recently… a little girl… she will be 3 months old in Christmas
What lies? That gts wasn't in the bargain bin a month after launch? That's absolutely true. And it's funny you're only questioning me when someone else posted the exact thing about Europe. It is when you're confusing facts with lies
Keep it up though. You won't last long if you can't even be subtle with your trolling

Just because a game has been discounted doesn’t mean people are going to buy it; people still have to want to play the game. For example, just because a game is on game pass doesn’t mean it’s going to get 15 million players. What lies? That gts wasn't in the bargain bin a month after launch? That's absolutely true. Well there certainly is a correlation. Far more people played gts because of the steep discounts. I don't think anyone would argue that player counts would be as high as they are if Sony didn't discount gts so quickly.Just because a game has been discounted doesn’t mean people are going to buy it; people still have to want to play the game. Mate, every game gets discounted, but few hit these numbers. There’s no argument really.Well there certainly is a correlation. Far more people played gts because of the steep discounts. And same for game pass. All else being equal, you would expect a game to have higher player counts if it were in game pass. Lower barriers to entry do matter.
And? All games benefit from lower prices, in terms of copies sold or player counts. There's no argument there either.Mate, every game gets discounted, but few hit these numbers. There’s no argument really.
Sorry, I’m not sure what you are trying to achieve, other than to undermine GTS player count. This thread really has nothing to do with how games being discounted can skew sales. Maybe you should make your own thread about this Very concerning issue of yours. And? All games benefit from lower prices, in terms of copies sold or player counts. There's no argument there either.
But that's all beside the point. Gts was deeply discounted shortly after launch, in the US and across Europe. And of course these discounts helped with player counts.
I replied to someone that made the comment that gts was discounted quickly in Europe by saying yep the same thing happened in the US to have one poster jump down my throat about facts. There is one thing that i really respect about GTS: I have rarely seen marketing for it while Sony literally spammed advertising like crazy for Uncharted, Spider-Man or God of War and it still hit 16m players. That's impressive, because if anything helps sale numbers it's massive marketing. And? All games benefit from lower prices, in terms of copies sold or player counts. There's no argument there either.

Dude, stop. His post was simply saying that the pricing in the US was apparently similar to in the US.Stay in your own lane and stop trying to further shit up threads with lies and trolling then

At which point you immediately jump all over the guy and calling him a troll. There's absolutely nothing about his post that could be considered trolling, unless your disdain of him is the result of previous behavior.
But it wasn't officially discounted by Sony till 5 months later. https://www.shacknews.com/article/1...nd-psvr-titles-now-have-permanent-price-dropsI replied to someone that made the comment that gts was discounted quickly in Europe by saying yep the same thing happened in the US to have one poster jump down my throat about facts. I'd like it to take place in Japan. The answer to Horizon needs to be GT: Arcade and it needs to be modeled after Blur.
Right. I even said that initially. It was still widely available at a steep discount across the US.But it wasn't officially discounted by Sony till 5 months later. https://www.shacknews.com/article/1...nd-psvr-titles-now-have-permanent-price-drops
Slickdeals shows deals not a nationwide msrp.
It must have taken some doing to get that GTS platinum! I dread to think how many hours I’ve spent just getting to level 40 - not to mention the online trophies - I think I’ve only managed one pole positionSome of you guys are talking about GT or Twisted Metal being something to counter FH... How about Driveclub 2 or a new Motorstorm developed by Sumo Digital?
And nice numbers for GTS. One of the best platinum trophies that I go. A ton of fun.
Pretty sure most of those numbers are made up of Sony employees

Never played Sport but il be there for GT7 i despise only online game
Priceless. Love it. Keep them coming, guys.Pretty sure most of those numbers are made up of Sony employees
Sony's been building their studios up with contracts stipulating employees must buy their published games. Some employees don't even work on software, they just buy games.Pretty sure most of those numbers are made up of Sony employees

All games have price discounts after launch but some sells other not.
The discussion is really weird.
I updated the break down per Country if anybody is interested.
Gran Turismo Sport: A Comprehensive Sales Estimate
Hello. This will be a thread to have some talk about the sales and estimates of the Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo Sport, a driving/racer simulation game for PlayStation 4. Polyphony Digital Changed from Sell-in to Sell-through reports The company changed it sales reports recently where...www.neogaf.com
US is over 2 million players.
UK, FR and DE are the others countries over 1 million players.
BR has 563,287 players and sadly I'm not included in there because my PSN account was before Sony created the Brasilian PSN so I'm included in US numbers
Yeap there is a time that I researched about transfer / linking accounts or just change the locale.Same here.
Sony should allow to merge 2 accounts. Too many games and trophies to ignore my main account.
While we still awaits for Gran Turismo 7 I thought it would be interesting to dust off GT Sport for a test. Here's every PlayStation console it was released on compared.
Framerate test was done on newest build of TRdrop (v1.2.0) with setting I'm using for older builds.

Would not have been really fare to close to 120 million PS4 owners.Thank god GT7 isn't PS5 exclusive
Yes. GT Sport lacked any sort of proper Single Player Campaign that the rest of the series has had (except the one on PSP). Its focus is online racing and they later on added single player events, but it's still not the same. Was there ever a reason why GT Sport was never named GT7?
They probably saved 7 if sport didn't work outAs I just got me a PS5, I needs me some GT7!

Kind of weird for Sony’s 2nd most popular Playstation (PS4) to have only gotten 1 game in over 8 years and just getting a new one over a year after the PS5 launched.
Strange to say the least.

New numbers from PD 14 Million

The cross gen decision probably happened after Sony realized they couldn't ship enough PS5.By this logic every ps3 game should have released on ps2 too , imagine leaving all those 150 million behind
