As long as it's challenging hard and not 'WTF THAT'S TOTAL BULLSHIT' hard.
Legendary: Knight "Phase-Run" = Insta-Kill :p

The Knights we've seen in action were the basic (Knight, Lancer, Commander, and Battlewagon) than Part 2 ViDoc introduced 1 of 4 newer variants of Unique Knight classes.
They look abit more stronger based on their unique visual traits. Possibly having hidden abilities, while the basic knights carry a variety of arsenal weapons.

Just watched that Walshy grenade video. Had not even thought about directing second grenades with grenade explosions. Looks hard to do in typical combat, but something cool for me to try.

EDIT: Thanks Wu! Thankwu.

So is basically the entire plot of Halo 4 out there now?
Not in that article at least. The big spoiler is something that happens in the first half of the game, but we're reaching a point where the story of Halo 4 is suffering a death by degrees with every article that comes out from some careless video game journalist.

I'm sure this guy thought it was no big deal to drop that info, and that shows how little time he put into researching this game. Of the few videos/presentations given to us by 343, one of the most recent specifically cuts away from the moment that this guy describes. I understand that he probably has a lot of games to report on and research, but with even a little time spent on Youtube he should have known not to reveal what he did.

Seeing we're on a nostalgia trip on Halo 3, I thought I'd post this part from the end of The Ark. (I posted this before over on HBO back in 2010).

So at the end of The Ark, there's a ring with a bunch of jetpack brutes and a Brute Chieftain in the middle. I'd always just opened up on them right away, anxious to end the level. Well, as it turns out, the Chieftain is actually shouting at you, challenging you to a duel. He yells, "“For the Prophets! Fight me! I’m right here!”

So if you accept his duel, you and him will fight to the death with the other brutes jeering you.

It's a pretty cool scene, and one that's easy to miss. The wail of the jetpack Brutes when I slew their Chieftain in solo combat was glorious. If you're replaying, I highly encourage you to accept his challenge.
Still the best campaign moment of all Halo games.

I read about this about two years after Halo 3 came out, on Ascendant Justice. A true holy shit moment. Bungie ends one of the grandest scale missions ever with a duel to the death. Just brilliant mission design.

I'll do this during my Campaign run later this month.

I feel like theres so much stuff people miss out on because the game isn't telling you to look at you to look at it. First thing that comes to mind is the big explosion outside the ship on the first level of Halo 2

I'm so excited for my Halo 3 runthrough before Halo 4 comes out :D

most of the effort should be put into mp, not campaign. we play mp for 3 years, most people play the campaign for like a week.
Brilliant analysis, as always.

This is how I accepted the challenge in the past:

You guys see this? Guy singing Halo theme in an oil chamber
That looks like a real-life portion of Crow's Nest. Makes sense that the Halo theme would sound so good there.

Welp, as much as I didn't need to read the spoiler, it didn't really hurt me much. It's ok Elzar, just finish reading what you post next time :p
Yeah, it's not going to kill the fun for me, it was just something I would rather not have known. Sort of like the time Elzar told me he was married.

Hahah, that's classic.

On a related note, when I first heard about this, I heard that if you won, the other brutes flew off, but every time I've tried they just rush me after the Chieftain dies.

The perfect Halo campaign would have the sense of exploration/environments from Halo 1, the story of Halo 2, and the encounters of Halo 3.

Did anyone else really enjoy the environments that we traveled to in Halo 2? I loved the overgrown Forerunner environments on Delta Halo, especially those where you are attempting to assassinate the Prophet of Regret. Fighting through the Quarantine zone was so awesome with the huge Sentinel Enforcers and flood battling it out. That truly felt like there was a real war taking place. Delta Halo was just beautiful in general. High Charity was pretty damn awesome too.

I could go on and on. I loved the Halo 2 Campaign and all the unique locations you went to. Sure there were alot of corridors, but damn, I remember every location so vividly.

I missed all the scarab nostalgia :(

lololololol

that really needed some epic music to go with it, would make it perfect.

i really want 343 to bring back the AI scarab. ODST and Reach's use of the scarab was incredibly disappointing. i just want something like one good encounter with a scarab. perhaps mantis vs scarab?

I love the Halo 2 environments. My favorite campaign in the series actually. The only problem with Halo 2 for me was once you got to High Charity the environments got a bit bland. Halo 1 just had a really cool sense of exploration and wonder which would be hard to recreate considering after several games the Forerunners have lost a lot of their mystery.

That said, Halo 2 had awesome outdoor areas. I loved the sequences on Earth and Delta Halo.

I wish we got to spend more time on Earth. Halo 2's marketing had me expecting this huge battle on Earth to save humanity but then the Earth section only lasted two levels. I was disappointed that Halo 3 chose to stay away from the city. I was really Happy that ODST chose to return to the city despite the short campaign.

I loved trashing through the forerunner ruins in a scorpion in Delta Halo.

The gondolas in Regret were pretty memorable as well.

All in all I think Halo 2 has the most interesting and diverse set pieces of the Halo games so far.

Yeah, I think I would revise my statement to be:
The sense of exploration from Halo 1, the environments and story from Halo 2, and the large encounters from Halo 3.

From Elzars Link:

They describe the Antagonist in the game as a grotesque massive being, Im thinking he could have been infected by flood?

Yeah buddy, this is the secret sauce right here. I honestly think that Halo 4 will nail the Halo 2 environment variation. New art team, Requiem seems extremely diverse, and a fresh look on Halo should give us some incredible environments to play in.
