My xbox live subscription ran out in Jan. and I haven't had internet in the house for a year and a half now... my avatar doesn't need a gimmick just so people watch the debate.

If you are interested in politics watch the debates... if you aren't... Buy Halo 4 on Nov. 6th and vote anyway!
That's so ignorant asking people to vote without being informed. I thought this was a novel way of encouraging an education and fully support it.

Agreed. It's a great incentive, and let's face it, gamers aren't the most collective political savvy people on the planet. It's a topic that most people should be informed about. You don't have to be interested in it, just informed nonetheless. It's crazy how some people couldn't care less about who's running the country they live in or how it operates.

The only person who has the right to not give a shit about American politics is Hypertrooper.

And Dani, and Hydranockz, and Letters, and Zeo, and all the rest of HaloGAF that doesn't live in America. Of course, they all probably care to a degree given how much US foreign policy affects the world.

Though it makes me sad that some posters in America are only watching the debates for the gold avatar.

On a similar note, the saying "It doesn't matter who you vote for, just vote!" is complete fucking horse shit. It doesn't just not matter, it's the only thing that does matter. It's the whole fucking point.

Beat me to it. Although it is their right to do so, people who vote and aren't informed do nothing except devalue my own vote. I'm not telling anyone not to vote, but in the interest of your countrymen, at least make an effort to learn what/who you are supporting with your vote.

I secretly follow PoliGAF occasionally.

I've watched every presidential debate for the past... 12 years or so too.

But on a more serious note, does anyone have links to the official platforms of both candidates and the parties? I'll do my research on both of them when I don't have a mountain of homework and when it gets a bit closer to election day. Even though I'm fairly confident in which candidate I'm voting for, I don't want to write off 47% of the candidates before the election takes place. ;)

I've actually wanted this for some time now. I'd probably call it The Covenant Trilogy or something similar.
That could work. I was also thinking it could be called the Flood Trilogy, thing is neither one really fully describes that period of story. Covenant War Trilogy kind of works I guess, since the Flood and Halos were pretty important to that.
Though it makes me sad that some posters in America are only watching the debates for the gold avatar.
In my case I would have watched it online later, this just gives me a reason to see it live. :/

Depending on the events of 4-6, you could just call the original trilogy the Halo Trilogy, considering each game revolves around stopping the rings from firing.

I support anything that makes referring to something incredibly confusing.

I was told Obama wants to kill old people and throw all our money away.

Seems like the wrong guy to vote for if you ask me.
Obama also told parents to "turn off the video games and pick up a book."

Obama wants Halo 4 to be cancelled!

I know who I'm voting for.

I'll start watching the debates when they add more parties. The big two have too much in common for my taste.

These 33 days can't come fast enough, I want mai Halo.

It's not that crazy. I see a bunch of people complaining about this and that, but they don't do anything whatsoever. I try to positively influence people in my life, but I don't make politics part of it. Politically what can we do? Know your rights so you don't get screwed, volunteer, what else? Voting is pointless for me, my state is not a swing state.

Another bad generalization.
I just said it wasn't crazy to not be involved in politics. Do a majority of people you know take political action? Probably not. Do they argue about politics? Most definitely.

Very much looking forward to the debate, but more for how they try to put themselves forwards and respond to each other while still selling to the people watching. Something that really intrigues me about people in general.
Good interview with Urk. And a nice shout out as well! (to both HBO and NeoGAF <3)
I miss that man. And Lord Sketchington.

Didn't mean it like this at all... it just came out all wrong... I apologize for my previous comment. I personally don't need an avatar reward to do my political research.

If you want to be in a good business... political fact checking... you will never ever ever run out of work. :)

Presidential debates are awesome.

Although, our own PMQ's can be quite entertaining.
Ughh I hate all our Politicians. Snobby, grotty little hypocrites, but I really don't want to get into that now :/

Charlie Brooker for PM.

Quick question on Halo 4, are Killcams confirmed for every playlist? So far they have been in Flood, Infinity Slayer, Dominion....?

Sorry if it has already been answered :(

Every time this error happens I get excited for a split second while I think there are new data drops. :lol
I read the title like five times.
I thought it said 5/13/12 and I was like whoahhh Jessica messed up big time! Releasing next week's Bulletin on accident!?!
But then I was sorely disappointed :(

I'm only tuning into the debates to see where each candidate stands on the most serious and immoral crisis of our time: buttchugging. This is a situation that is now known all over the world but neither candidate has stepped forward to address it. I assume they will do that tonight.

Just a head's up for anyone that pre-ordered the Halo 4 Limited Edition soundtrack, I just received this email:

Dear Mr. SuperAwesomeSexyMan,

We unfortunately have to move the release date for the Halo 4 Original soundtrack limited edition box set back to Nov 6th due to an exclusive content reveal. On October 22nd will send you a very exclusive track from the game called ‘Desecration’ which is not on the original soundtrack and you will also receive a full digital copy of the album. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support - The Omega/The Halo 4 team.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Kinda bummed that the soundtrack was delayed (although understandable), however getting an exclusive track isn't a bad payoff.
