Played it last night, I like the humour and homage to starship troopers. Graphics set to ultra are not that good but performance seemed fine. Need to maybe play with decent players but seems a bit underwhelming so far game play wise. 70-80% seems fair

There it is.

All this bitching about anti-cheat and DRM often boils down to "I wish I could just pirate it".
Do not paint me in such linear brush. I have over 600 games on Steam many of which are AAA games; that should not call into question my support for developers alone. And simply implying anticheat as a means to justify invasive methods to your computer is prime example of being a corporate sheep handwaving any real concerns just so you can play a game to which there are thousands, and none that requires to compromise players hardware. For a username like that, I find it quite ironic that is the viewpoint you hold.

Graphics on ultra at native resolution looks amazing to me. The first snow planet I played liked okay but the second planet with vegetation looks unreal. With HDR on, this game is a stunner

That’s a lot of words to defend pirating.

Where does one obtain the explosive rounds version of the assault rifle in the free-to-play track? Or the incendiary version of the shotgun? Quibble all you want about the difference between "pay-to-win" or "pay-to-power", but there are absolutely weapons (and some armors) within the premium Warbond that do not appear to be available in the free Warbond.

. . .all of this is to say is that it is not quite the same as SS, which is - at the moment - a purely cosmetic MTX situation versus this game.

So here's what you do, you play the game, understand how the points of interest system works, and get good at finding them. Then walk away with a handful of SC every mission, also unlock SC on the main page of the free battlepass, do this for like 3 weeks and you can then buy the premium pass with earned SC.

I would say most games make this an unrealistic grind, but the games been out 3 days? And I haven't bought any SC but bought all the super store armor that was on rotation, that was what? 500SC? And I havent paid out once, you get 10 coins from a pick up, I seem to leave most missions with 10-30 by just finding bunkers/pods.

Only one to defend shady practices. But it's your computer, feel free to give download what you want.

If you find that buying games on Steam too hard to believe, I can't really convince you otherwise.
I'm not a hardcore gamer and I have nearly 700 games on steam also, it aint that difficult to collect a big library on there. I am a sucker for buying games to play on a rainy day, most of mine were not full price either.

My bro has over 2200, Im sure he just buys games to add to his collection, no way does he play all of em.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Is there any reason why the reviews for the game aren't coming out? The game has already been out for a few days now. A post-release embargo?

Game has a slow progression, lots to see and uncover. Also launch issues with mm. They need like a week to fully see everything this game has to offer. Also you dont really need reviews for this. Just watch a few streams or read impressions. Spoiler : its fucking awesome

I dunno, seems odd. Launch day and server issues etc didn't prevent any outlet from reviewing Suicide Squad on release date.

I honestly think this game blew up to become a bigger hit than anticipated, wouldn't surprise me if most reviewers started playing the game when it launched. I for sure didn't expect this to hit those numbers on Steam.

This or Suicide Squad?

Suicide Squad has highly positive rating if I remember correctly.
Depends on what you want in a game, honestly.

I was gifted Suicide Squad but enjoyed the campaign and put it down. Got enough out of it, and maybe I'll go back to it when there's new content. Helldivers 2 looks like fun but lacking a campaign took the wind out of my sails. I've never been the biggest fan of repetition, and I heard the HD2 loop can get repetitive pretty quickly.

Yeah doesn't seem like it's for everyone. I'm a Starship Troopers fan, so I dig the humor and all. But no campaign, repetitive gameplay, etc. I'll just wait for a price drop.

Wait so is the DRM going to go through my porn history or not? Because I got a buddy that wants to play this with me, but I'd rather play on PC than PS5 if I can help it

The only issue I have with the game is that I’m not getting much chance to play it atm. I tried a solo mission today and because I was faffing around with side missions, I missed the extraction - 30 minutes of failure 😂
