Let me just first say HOLY SHIT THIS GAME IS AMAZING!
I feel so bad i didn't give this game a try when it was out i have it from PS+ IGC and only now started playing it because i saw several Bound by Flame streams on PS4 and i felt some RPG itch so i download it and started playing.
I was never a big RPG fan i never played any of the FF games and i am PlayStation fan since the PSX days, i played Fallout 3 and Kingdom of Amular: R i have Fallout: New Vegas but never got around to play it.
Anyway about Dragon's Dogma DA i can safely say i am now in love with RPGs like DD i really now understood why people love RPGs so much, i still can't wrap my head around how good this game is i mean the mechanics the content the visuals the gameplay the story and am just like 20 hours in.
Climbing those Golems and weakening them by hitting their vital points then watching them fall while you stand atop their heads is just glorious i was like "wow this fucking game!"
And there is the Pawns feature i mean holy shit what an amazing feature it makes a lot of difference and they are not like those stupid A.I. doing nothing they actually help! hell they kill monsters while am tripping all over the place trying to survive because i got my self a boss i can't handle at my current level! but those motherfucker keeps bringing them to their knees so i can finish them off! I don't think i can love any other RPG after this the pawn system is a must for me now.
As you can see am really enjoying this game i am at level 33 and i just killed the Griffin (boy that was one hell of a battle) so i want some advice regarding the "Combine" i really feel lost i mean there is a lot of stuff i can create but i can't carry them all i don't know what to prioritize so i ended up dumping everything at the storage and only take with me mature and potent Greenwarish and some stamina potion that i always forget to use >.< other than that i don't know what do with all the stuff i have.
Also what advantages i can take of the Black Cats business? i know they copy stuff but why i want to do that? the description says the item lose its power so its not that i can reforge healing potion which is also cost money? so what am i missing with this?
If anyone have more tips please let me know am still fresh at RPGs
I just can't wait for the next Dragon's Dogma i mean looking at how much they squeezed out of PS3 makes me wonder what they can do with the PS4, am going to buy the shit out of that game i feel want to support them after giving us this one for free through PS+.
So anyone reading this that have slight interest on RPGs go play this now! heck even if you don't like RPGs just try it you won't regret it.
DA was soooooo good.
I love this game so much for its sense of adventure and the variety in combat. There are plenty of flaws some major, some minor and I hope they are addressed in a future sequel but damn some of the best fights I've experienced in a videogame.
The pawn system was also a great idea and damn that character creation tool is the best I've used.
About healing; what I did was locate the healing springs. Carry lots of bottles with you and gather the water there. Its a group heal and heals quite a lot. I even placed a portcrystal there.
