Marvel: More console games are coming, announcements next year

Quality-wise, DoFP is still under the likes Winter Soldier, Guardians, & Spider-Man 2 (Raimi's). And as far as box office goes, while DoFP did beat Winter Soldier, it lost to Guardians. And on top of that, Fox isn't getting any merchandising money because Marvel refuses to make any movie merch (if the merchandise is based on a character's incarnation in the Fox films, Fox gets a cut of the profits). They won't give up X-Men, but the fate of the Fantastic Four will depend on how well the movie does (which would explain why Marvel's pushing the F4 further into the ground).
Back on-topic, still dealing with Galactuses online in UMvC3 whenever I can get a mach. As I've said before, I think it's time for MvC4....at least once Capcom finishes Street Fighter V.
I know lots of people want X-Men in the MCU but I'm alright if Fox keeps them. After reading the Hickman Avengers/New Avengers series, I'd love to have the FF in the MCU somewhere down the line.
Wow, this is still a thing? I typically play the 360 version when I happen to have Gold, no Galactus and online is a lot smoother too. I can really feel the input delay difference.
The PS3's online community is littered with Galactus players. It's both hilarious & sad.

Please no. NRS fighting games can barely last two years in the FGC. I actually want a fighting game with more staying power.

WB owns DC, they're not making Marvel games anyway. Neither side would enter into that agreement. Also games don't have to last 10 years to be good and the demands of a niche part of the fighting game community don't outweigh a company's initial business goals for a game.

MVC4 is all I ask. Announce it at E3 or at EVO next year and everyone will go nuts (including myself). It will be 5+ years since UMVC3 so it'll make for timing because the game probably won't come out until 2017/2018, giving room to breathe for SF5.
And that's probably the extent of their Marvel development. My guess is that has more to do with LEGO than it does Marvel.
That rotating sculpture from the end of Age of Ultron exists, & it's beautiful.

Regardless, I wouldn't expect an MvC4 until at least 2017, maybe 2018 to line up with Infinity War.
I did wonder about that. It's awesome nonetheless.

I don't care, I don't need my game to last 10 years. And actually I still load up the original MUA for a fun co-op title. You're really overselling the longevity of MVC games for anybody who's not a super hardcore fan. I got UMVC3 for my Vita and was done with it in about a week. There's very little compelling content.
Did you have a local scene to play against for UMvC3 (granted, most of them are on 360, but you get my point)? But even then, there's still the issue of Activision's contract being revoked rather than expiring like normal. Even if Activision had an interest in making MUA3, I doubt Marvel would let them have another go at it. Though as someone else brought up, a spiritual successor to MUA wouldn't be a bad idea considering the circumstances.
Likewise, I've put hundreds of hours into UMvC3. But to each their own, I suppose.
Maybe in 5-10 years when Spider-Gwen is more established as a character. For now, if Platinum is to do any Spidey, it'd be best if they do someone who's been around for a little while longer than Spider-Gwen (like Peter Parker, Miguel O'Hara, or Miles Morales).

Do Activision own the UA title brand though? I feel like it's very unlikely they own the rights to a co-op brawler RPG with Marvel characters. A co-op brawler RPG by any other name would be just as sweet.
I don't have a local scene, I'd just play against friends and family. I just thought it had very lacking single-player (or even extensive multiplayer) content. They need to consider not everyone is part of the tourney scene when making those titles. If they have to go Marvel fighting game, I'd like unlockable content on the level of Smash Bros (though not gameplay you understand).
This, that way everyone wins.

So basically not so much unlockable characters (which wouldn't sit well with the competitive scene), but rather bonus content like the trophies in Smash or extra modes.
By who? I doubt WB will let Rocksteady do any comic book properties that aren't DC.
