Quality-wise, DoFP is still under the likes Winter Soldier, Guardians, & Spider-Man 2 (Raimi's). And as far as box office goes, while DoFP did beat Winter Soldier, it lost to Guardians. And on top of that, Fox isn't getting any merchandising money because Marvel refuses to make any movie merch (if the merchandise is based on a character's incarnation in the Fox films, Fox gets a cut of the profits). They won't give up X-Men, but the fate of the Fantastic Four will depend on how well the movie does (which would explain why Marvel's pushing the F4 further into the ground).Thing is, Fox doesn't have toy, comic, & merch support it the movies are doing quite well. Not sure why they would give up the rights to such a cash cow that (arguably) better than Marvel movies. Seriously don't see Fox giving up the rights for a decade and I am super excited about that!

Back on-topic, still dealing with Galactuses online in UMvC3 whenever I can get a mach. As I've said before, I think it's time for MvC4....at least once Capcom finishes Street Fighter V.
The PS3's online community is littered with Galactus players. It's both hilarious & sad.Wow, this is still a thing? I typically play the 360 version when I happen to have Gold, no Galactus and online is a lot smoother too. I can really feel the input delay difference.
Please no. NRS fighting games can barely last two years in the FGC. I actually want a fighting game with more staying power.did you give wbie the marvel license yet
you should really do that
daredevil by rocksteady, marvel v dc by netherrealm, deadpool by monolith
seriously do that already
daredevil would just be batman w/ permanent detective mode
marvel v dc would be a fighting game
deadpool can fake die and come back cuz he's deadpool so nemesis system can work
disney pls

Capcom or bust.
WB owns DC, they're not making Marvel games anyway. Neither side would enter into that agreement. Also games don't have to last 10 years to be good and the demands of a niche part of the fighting game community don't outweigh a company's initial business goals for a game.
wb owns the lego license
there are marvel lego games
I meant to post that in the MCU thread, my mistake.I be like

A game like MUA3 would only last for a month for most people. A game like MvC would last for almost a decade in the FGC.
Did you have a local scene to play against for UMvC3 (granted, most of them are on 360, but you get my point)? But even then, there's still the issue of Activision's contract being revoked rather than expiring like normal. Even if Activision had an interest in making MUA3, I doubt Marvel would let them have another go at it. Though as someone else brought up, a spiritual successor to MUA wouldn't be a bad idea considering the circumstances.I don't care, I don't need my game to last 10 years. And actually I still load up the original MUA for a fun co-op title. You're really overselling the longevity of MVC games for anybody who's not a super hardcore fan. I got UMVC3 for my Vita and was done with it in about a week. There's very little compelling content.
Likewise, I've put hundreds of hours into UMvC3. But to each their own, I suppose.I'd take a new Ultimate Alliance (or spiritual successor) over MvC any day. I put many hours into the Ultimate Alliance and X-Men Legends games.
Maybe in 5-10 years when Spider-Gwen is more established as a character. For now, if Platinum is to do any Spidey, it'd be best if they do someone who's been around for a little while longer than Spider-Gwen (like Peter Parker, Miguel O'Hara, or Miles Morales).I'm gonna be "that guy" and say no to MVC4 I rather want to Capcom to take on CVS 3 or do something completely new. However I am all for that Platinum Spider Gwen game.

This, that way everyone wins.Well, maybe they'll make both and make everyone happy.
So basically not so much unlockable characters (which wouldn't sit well with the competitive scene), but rather bonus content like the trophies in Smash or extra modes.Do Activision own the UA title brand though? I feel like it's very unlikely they own the rights to a co-op brawler RPG with Marvel characters. A co-op brawler RPG by any other name would be just as sweet.
I don't have a local scene, I'd just play against friends and family. I just thought it had very lacking single-player (or even extensive multiplayer) content. They need to consider not everyone is part of the tourney scene when making those titles. If they have to go Marvel fighting game, I'd like unlockable content on the level of Smash Bros (though not gameplay you understand).
By who? I doubt WB will let Rocksteady do any comic book properties that aren't DC.we need a Black Panther game marvel pls
Like I said earlier, there's alway hope for a spiritual successor to MUA. Plus there's Marvel Heroes, which isn't far off from what MUA is.Yup another gamer that wants more MUA....
heck want a MUA3 made by Raven, too bad that is very difficulty to happen
Their games like X-men Legends and Ultimate Alliance have a special place in my heart, good memories playing alone and co-op.
Or maybe a very big rpg in the Marvel Universe
