I wonder how long it will be #1 on the charts

Number 1.. hard to say, the title is pretty hardcore so many waited in line to buy it day one. But I think it will stay in the top 10 for a long time. MHP titles in the past have proven to have the longest legs on the platform.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is number 1 again next week, but after that Mario Kart is going to grab that spot.

Anyone know how many copies of Mario Kart Nintendo is planning to ship? Its a more casual title so I am not sure if they need to flood the stores right away. If they do there might be price drops like galaxy.

I really wonder about this title.

According to this it shipped just over a million in six days. What that means in terms of sold through, I don't know.

Pretty decent sales for Deca Sporta :)

By the way, nice shot Capcom

I wonder how MH3 will sell on Wii. I mean not at this same level for sure

Looks like PSP will have another million seller either next week or the week after. MHP2G's debut was pretty close to the number that SSBB posted. Was this the highest or second highest debut of the year (according to Famitsu)?

Great PSP numbers.

Wii Fit keeps on selling at a steady rate.
With such a big/growing userbase, it establishes itself as a viable peripheral to attract dedicated games, and looks more and more like a key factor of success for Nintendo, for this generation and beyond. Talk about a differentiator :)

Yeah I was going to say that I though Super Mario Kart was higher. Nintendo reported sales of 8 million worldwide, and considering the SNES's presence in Europe, most of those sales were bound to be split between North America and Japan.

Super Circuit topped out at <900k.

And wow @ the legs of Pokémon. Monster Hunter right now the most proeminent franchise in Japan for the hardcore audiance.

It's now the third Capcom jewel after Street Fighter II and Resident Evil.

Monster Hunter is really starting strongly. Nice boost for the hardware as well.

Really surprised to see Sim City 2 still up there. And good Deca Sporta numbers, will be interesting to see if it has thunder legs.

Actually, it's kinda surprising to see that the same rule applies for the Wii. Anyway, every platform enjoys great games. And this is the most important :)

I think we can stick a fork in this one.

I was expecting PSP to double last week, and it managed to better even that. There was a new color with MHP, right? Standalone, bundle, or both?

Holy crap on a PSP!

MHP2G is just wow, especially for an expansion pack. Just holy wow. It's amazing that with sales like these capcom didn't secure MH3 on PSP first. Though I'm sure it'll eventually hit PSP of course. ;)

There is a PSP Monster Hunter Bundle with a limited edition bronze PSP, the game and a case which sold 17,000 on just the first day. I am not sure if the bronze PSP standalone was out this week as well.

I think that known franchises are less likely to have succes on the Wii, unless they are totaly adapted to the Wii interface. New ip made specifically for the Wii seems to have better results.

Is this some weird form of premptive damage control or something?
