Zelda Musou did really well considering the platform. Way better than I expected. It's definitely going to land at about 150-200k LTD. Seems like the Musou brand is still really strong in Japan.

Lots of people really like HW as far as I know. I think they like it more then DW8.

I stopped playing MK8 months ago I just could not beat any KartGAF racers
everyone who kept playing must be much better by now

I'll play again next week when the Benz DLCs hit

The server slowdown caused absolutely weired things, for example your boost would last longer. I remember winning 3 or 4 games in KartGAF with a fucking Koopa on a Pipeframe (good handling, good boost), lol, exactly due to this fucked up shit.

Anyway, online it's much better now, so you don't have to race in KartGAF (there are lots of people with 9999 records), so I would definitely practice online first, preferably regional races, with people you're same skill level.

22./00. [3DS] Style Savvy: Trendsetters - Tokimeki Up! <ETC> (Nintendo) {2014.04.17} (¥4.936) - 2.683 / 62.572 <80-100%>

Still selling and 60k so far for a repackage at full price.

Original release: 367.805 (Media Create)

Amazing game and very deserved.

The bonuses are compatible for all versions IIRC. It was like this for all console MHF.

Ah, I checked again, it says

on the site. Interesting, so the PC-version is the "unlimited" one I guess.

did they not say a patch is coming that improves online?

is it out or does it come when they release the Benz DLCs?

Which makes me ask the following. Do Warrior games typically have legs in Japan? Or are they really front loaded and drop off after a few month or so? Could this game do to good word of mouth and the Zelda branding behave outside the norm? Anyone?

Err... nearly all of those titles you're comparing with are multi platform or late ports, plus they're the worst selling versions. Compared to the other collaboration Musou titles in the past, Zelda Musou sold the least, and by a wide margin too.

First week sales:
Zelda Musou (WiiU) 78,773

Gundam Musou (PS3) 170,725
Gundam Musou 2 (PS3) 176,448
Gundam Musou 3 (PS3) 185,908

Hokuto Musou (PS3) 385,295
Shin Hokuto Musou (PS3) 116,431

One Piece Kaizoku Musou (PS3) 655,774
One Piece Kaizoku Musou 2 (PS3) 269,035 (Famitsu)

again they said worldwide 1 million I think they can reach it
.... how?

I guess it's a shipped forecast, but I really can't see it getting near that in sell-through.

Regarding your query, here's some musou sales, but garaph isn't updated anymore and I can't remember the link to the LTD thing. These all released temporally since the "generation" began.

Yeah PC version gets all bonuses. Otherwise it would be kinda dumb to assume 136K MHF audience exist on Xbox360...
Remaining MHF hardcore fans don't hesitate to pay hundreds of bucks per month, so they won't hesitate to purchase copies for console versions they don't even own.
And, aside from Capcom making money Sony, MS and Nintendo get royalty fee from console version of MHF too, so nobody loses.

Oh yes, they did. I'm pretty curious about it, because there are still some problems left (opposing players not getting hit by what you throw at them and stuff). The patch will add new features and improve the user interface as well.

Yo you forgot this:
Shin Gundam Musou (PS3) 126,019

Hmm, I'm curious how this title will be received in the West. One on hand its the WiiU and a Musou title and on the other hand its also a Zelda title.

1 million is certainly on the optimistic end.

if Wind Waker HD can manage it worldwide I think this game has a fair chance

if you have not been following the game videos to be about to play as some badass characters never playable before this game I think Zelda fans will pick it up even if they hate musou

I wouldn't be able to answer that question. I guess it depends on how the West receives it, alongside the fact DLC may or may not factor into total sales down the road.

06./00. [PSV] Monster Hunter Frontier G: Beginner's Package <ACT> (Capcom) {2014.08.13} (¥6.264) - 21.169 / NEW
20./27. [3DS] Monster Hunter 4 # <ACT> (Capcom) {2013.09.14} (¥5.990) - 3.796 / 3.327.503

MH on Vita outsells the MH 3DS - Capcom should have out MH4 on Vita.

Sigh.....

I still hold out hope that Portable 4th is an actual possibility though they might just transfer the entire series to IOS

Probably not though. Vita being in Second place in the Portable space should be worth something.

I think it will sell better in the west than in Japan.
Musou may not be big in the west, but I think part of that is because nobody really knows/cares about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms story in the west, and similarly titles like One Piece, Gundam, etc are going to be much more popular in Japan.
However, Zelda is bigger in the west than in Japan, and Nintendo seems to be doing an OK job advertising this game to their core.

I think 200k for HW in Japn is possible (maybe more). 300k in Amerika and 500k in Europe, of which 200k will be sold in France alone.

1 million worldwide is definitely possible.

Hyrule Warriors had the second best debut for a Musou game on Nintendo platforms, only behind Samurai Warriors 3.

WIU : Hyrule Warriors ( Koei Tecmo ) { 2014-08-14 } - 78,773 / 78,773
WII : Samurai Warriors 3 ( Koei ) { 2009-12-03 } - 126,646 / 275,037

With Tecmo Koei promising a long term support with new content for Hyrule Warriors I it might keep a buzz about the game

bug fixes are needed too

One mil might be possible. If it lands 100-200k over here, it leaves 800-900k overseas.

I wouldn't bank on it though.
Is that expected? When's the last time a musou game LTD tripled its FW. Although I suppose it's also a Zelda game; although same question can be asked of that too probably.

One Piece Kaizoku Musou (PS3) 655,774
One Piece Kaizoku Musou 2 (PS3) 269,035 (Famitsu)

Now this is a comparison.

Best title would be the first GM title to compare to since PS3 install base was much bigger in the later ones.

PS3 install base (Gundam Musou) : 747k
Gundam Musou (PS3) 170,725

WiiU install base (HW) : 1890k
Zelda Musou (WiiU) 78,773

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

One Piece ( especially when the first game hit aka. Marineford Arc hype), Fist of the North Star and Gundam are all way bigger IPs than Zelda though and on the defacto Dynasty Warriors console of choice. I remember when Gundam Warriors was announced it was a big deal, especially since there wasnt that many HD Warriors alternatives out there at the time.

Comparing the games isnt that easy, but with regard to the System and how other games like Donkey Kong Country TF performed HW did quite well.

Eh, I'd be a little more cautious about that. If you include budget release then maybe...

It doesn't need to triple it. Most Musou games manage to get a LTD of more than double the opening week, especially those with lower openings which aren't super front loaded. If it can sell over 150k, which I think is probable, seeing the Japanese shipment as 200k isn't a stretch at all.

Are you forgetting WWHD was bundled alongside the price drop (iirc)

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Just for curiosity sake: how is Hyrule Warriors doing on Japanese eShop? Did it appear in All-Time Charts yet?

Wat?

There are only like 1.7M Wii Us shipped in "Others," last French number we had was in the realm of 350K. Both may be higher now but even then the kinds of attach rates you're talking about... :/
