Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PC performance thread

Getting constant 60FPS, good good.

No mouse controls in menus though still.

Also, it still has the thing where borderless window is always on top. Kinda defeats the purpose of borderless window, doesn't it?

Nice.

Excited to see how my rig holds up.

Hoping to play at 4K and 60FPS at at least console settings.

This being a cross gen game and all, I hope that is not much of a stretch. Especially since it is already 60fps on console.

Haven't started Phantom Pain but I'm hoping for similar performance to Ground Zeroes, seeing as it's the same engine and all. GZ ran beautifully on my ancient card at 1080p30 with everything on high, and with the framerate unlocked I got about 40-50fps.

Can I still find a cheap ebay code? I don't have paypal to use the buy/sell/trade thread

Are those the same settings as Ground Zeros? More importantly does this use HBAO+?

Can anyone confirm that the DoF setting only affects gameplay and the cutscenes always have it enabled? That would be ideal.

so GZ with volumetric clouds

Being able to disable the overblown DoF effect during gameplay is a big one. You could tweak Ground Zeroes to remove it but then it was missing in cutscenes. I *really* like the effect in well-directed cutscenes.
