Please drop whatever continuity around the federation and Sylux. No one cares.

The only story Metroid requires is a distress beam from an alien planet.

I kind of figured when all they had was title art. If it was a Retro joint they'd be far enough along to show something.

Of course, they should be far enough along to show something on whatever mystery thing they're doing now, so who knows.

Are we even still expecting Prime 4 to be in first person? If it's built in house at EAD, then I feel like they would struggle developing an fps considering they have NO history at all with that genre whatsoever. A 3rd person game seems more feasible considering there work on Splatoon idk

Retro has two teams, isn't it? One of them is possibly working on DK (something I want very much), but what about the other one?

Huh.

I expect a pretty different art style, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

But man, what the fuck is retro working on?

Hope for 3D Donkey Kong!

Metroid Prime is my favorite game of all time and I'm excited that Retro is being allowed to move on from Metroid and (hopefully) Donkey Kong in order to work on their own new project. An internal development team at Nintendo headed by Tanabe sounds perfect and I have the utmost confidence in them.

Edit: The thread got merged?

Pretty excited for Metroid Prime 4!

And with creating the new studio for MP4, I wonder if this means Retro is working on a new DKC? Tropical Freeze was amazing!

I'm pumped, but I would be lying if I said that there wasn't at least a little bit of apprehension in my system about this without Retro at the helm. AND because Tanabe was the producer on Federation Force....

Well of course it isn't Retro making it, this game is "now in development". Retro has been in production on something since Summer 2014. Whatever they are working on, clearly something Nintendo isn't ready to talk about yet, it is late in development or just waiting to be announced.

Tanabe creating a new team for this game sounds like "I want to have complete control in order to tell my masterpiece story about Samus & Sylux"

Hope I'm wrong. I honestly wouldn't even want the Federation to appear in this game.

Guess I need to post this again since there are some people who seem to have already forgotten after 2 page. Wow, how the mind slips!

"Allegedly"

Opening admitting to sexually assaulting someone(then banning anyone who called him out for it)

Posting revenge porn with their real full names then another admin(a now jailed pedophile) printed the photos and jacked off over them and sent it to the boyfriend.

I feel like Retro must be working on a new IP. It's been over three years since we've heard from them. If it were a "just" a sequel, where you can re-use assets and animations and such, to Donkey Kong I have to imagine it would have been announced by now.
