Dead said:Speaking of Micheal Mann, I finally watched the new Definitive cut of The Last of the Mohican on blu-ray the other day.
Its pretty much the ideal cut I think. Mann restores a lot of what people complained was missing in the directors cut, while removing some of the more superfluous additions. At 115 minutes, the runtime is smack dab between the original theatrical cut, and the old director's cut.
Great movie as always though.

Insider and Master & Commander alone deify him imo
Scullibundo said:Nah, Crowe is a good actor, but I know a few people that have worked on set with the man that will tell you he's a completely self-absorbed piece of shit in real life. That's not even mentioning that story about him and the Australian journalist who had to endure the crazy bastard.
Edit: Here you go.

Can't wait to see it myself. BTW if you already didn't know Sono is already working on a new movie called Guilty of Romance. Should be gory detective story.

Heat can fuck right off, this is Michael Mann's best. Great film, excellent work from Pacino, Crowe, and Plummer. Really loved this one.

I am not a fan of most horror flicks but damn this was good. The way the score keep the tension building. The use of colors...damn.
Haven't seen the film yet, but i always read this thing, so i'm bound to ask: good movie or good achievement?-Stranger- said:Buried
Tension filled thriller, for 90 minutes spent in a coffin with one main actor it's a good film.
8/10

In other words, it's a good movie overall, or it's good because it has little elements to play with and it does a decent job, given the premise?
